We enjoyed sharing various plates and everything tasted amazing. Perfect place to enjoy a cozy romantic evening or show off Denver to out of town guests.
Service, excellent— knowledgeable, friendly, welcoming. Cocktails, amazing and thoughtful. I’m not drinking right now so I ordered an NA beverage and it was wonderful. We ordered three appetizers, one vegetable dish, and one dessert which were all very tasty. We were truly looking forward to the tempera mushrooms, as seen in one of the yelp reviews, but they no longer serve them. It was plenty of food for the two of us. We usually order some kind of protein, but skipped that evening because I feel that the options were too pricey. We were toggling between two different desserts, and asked our server for her opinion. She gave it and then followed up by giving us both desserts. Super generous!
If you go, I highly recommend having a pre-dinner beverage on the patio, it has an epic view of the city and ample seating. As much as I liked this place and the service we received, I will probably only return seasonally as they change their menus, to try new dishes— unless they come up with some type of happy hour. Reservations are not required if you go early. Paid parking or valet only.
Not so good: food and service. Especially don’t get the squash. A hot mess
Returned for a second look about a year in. It’s better than before but still not that amazing (though I haven’t tried the steak, which could be delicious).
The drinks are ok, but nothing to be impressed about. The better wines are only offered if you buy the bottle. Most restaurants would come back and make sure to pour the bottle each times. Once you buy the bottle expect to serve your self.
Finding the waitress was a pain. We had to sit for min before she would come back and serve us.
Nice setting but not worth the hype. I enjoyed EL Five much more.
The service was shockingly careless. The waitress told us the bison dish was meant to feed 4–5 people, but what arrived was a tiny plate that barely served one, let alone two, yet it cost $175. One hundred and seventy-five dollars… for a small piece of steak. No sides. No care. No explanation.
The worst part is that there is not a single acknowledgement that it was my birthday. No smile, no “happy birthday,” not even a simple gesture like a tiny dessert. Nothing. We sat there in silence feeling invisible, watching other tables get attention while we felt like an afterthought. If this is what “fine dining” is supposed to be here, it’s heartbreaking.
If you walk in, do yourself a favor, take a sip of water, look around, and walk right back out. Don’t waste your money, your time, or a special moment on a place that clearly doesn’t care.
The atmosphere is definitely modern and chic. We kept saying how it felt like we weren’t in Denver and that we were transported to a much bigger city like NY or Chicago. We ordered Cosmopolitans and they were delicious!!
We were shown to our table by a window and had an amazing view of the city and the restaurant, it was stunning!!
For food, we ordered the table bread with onion butter, the gnocchi (a MUST!), the beef skewers, and the grilled carrots (another MUST)!
The bar recommended us delicious drinks including a traditional gin cocktail that we had never tried called Last Word – it’s now one of our favorites.
I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun adult night out, girls night out, date night, business dinner where you want to impress, or any occasion where you want to feel transported out of Denver and into luxury.
Can’t wait to come back and experience the outdoor patio in the summer! Thank you Stellar Jay and all staff for the unforgettable experience! Bravo!10/10!
