What a pleasant surprise to discover this wine bar in Moab! Warm welcome from the owners, elegant and tasteful decor, excellent wine selection, and small plates to share… or not. In short, a great place to discover for foodies and wine lovers.

Looking To Get Lost
Visited here this last weekend. We were the first couple to arrive and were promptly seated. Beautiful decor and atmosphere especially on main In Moab. This place feels classier. Sadly thats where it ends. Our server didn’t know the wines and the owner or manager eventually just handed a tasting notes card. A robust menu of wines however only a handful are available for a glass instead pushing small carafes or the entire bottle. Tasting or a flight were not available either. For premium prices the offerings and experience needs to be elevated to match. Rather than guessing or committing to large pours or bottle purchases and high priced tapas, we opted to leave without either food or the glass of wine we had hoped for. Was looking for a better experience.

This is a gem of a wine bar located in the heart of downtown Moab. The aesthetic is contemporary yet welcoming and it’s a family-run business.

If you like really good wines, this is the only place in Moab to enjoy a variety of them by the glass or bottle. Most places offer the exact same 2-3 okay wines as an afterthought.

There are a variety of excellent handmade charcuterie boards available that are more filling than they look. Some of the ingredients like basil and mint are grown onsite seasonally.

My wife and I enjoyed our experience so much, that we visited two evenings in a row. Highly recommend!

The owner is knowledgeable & patient; I had a couple requirements for certain tastes and owner(forgot his name) found stellar wines. I was also pleased to find that the wines were reasonably priced. The space looks relaxing and great atmosphere. If you love wine and have a few nibbles this is the best place to bring your friends and catch up.

Garlic butter steak bites Amazing!❤️ laid back spot with a chill atmosphere. An over-21 bar with grown-up energy, relaxing, great place to enjoy quality drinks, and just vibe with the music or conversation. Whether it’s dim lighting, comfy seating, or an unhurried pace, it creates such a welcoming environment to kick back.

Absolutely the best place in Moab to unwind. This wine bar nails everything—an excellent wine selection, delicious bites, and a warm, relaxed atmosphere that makes you want to stay awhile. We tried the caprese sandwich and it was phenomenal, fresh, perfectly balanced, and easily one of the best bites we had in town. Whether you’re wrapping up a day of exploring or just looking for a cozy spot to enjoy amazing food and drinks, this place is a must-visit. We’ll be back every time we’re in Moab.

Great place for a small bite and chill with a couple of wine glasses. Attention to detail is everywhere, decoration, furniture, napkins, even you get a tasting card with whichever wine you choose, so there’s a touch of care and taste everywhere. Place is run by a married couple, and they take care of everything, and I must say that the small bites were wonderful and super tasty. They have a good selection of wines, maybe about 40, from all types and regions, so there’s plenty to choose and satisfy any palates. I highly recommend this place. We came in with the intention of having a glass to chill after walking the Arches National Park, but we stayed and had dinner there with the charcuterie board, 2 small plates and 2 glasses of wine each :). It is on the expensive side, for sure, but it was worthy.

Stopped into Rooted Vine after dinner in Moab. Was shocked to find a legitimately great wine bar in town. I appreciated every aspect of the experience from the great wine selection, the friendly family that owned the bar and provided great service to the small details such as the decor and tableware. There are small cards available that provide a description of each wine they serve and the prices were reasonable for ten quality of product being served. If you are in Moab and looking for a great place to spend an evening and enjoy some quality wines I highly recommend stopping into the Rooted Vine.

I wanted to leave this review because I feel Rooted vine has so so so much potential and is the kind of place I’m always looking for! A nice wine bar with dim lights, good music, and a list of tapas. I think that they have all the right ingredients for a killer spot- the only place they stray from the ideal ( my personal opinion) wine bar, is the small bites. Everyone wants a little snack- especially when they’re enjoying a glass with their friends or lover! I think their list of small bites is a wonderful start but if there were more options at a lower price, opposed to fewer items at a higher price- they’d get more people in the door! I understand that their bread and butter IS WINE- it’s a wine bar after all, but I’d love to see more tapas. And I do think it’s dyer to drooooop those food prices doooooown!!!!!!! ( $35 for four bite sized crustini bites is actually pretty bizarre but because I was dying to find a tapa and wine bar while we were in town I sucked it up and paid the price…) Give me a bowl of mixed nuts or marinated olives! Let me try some whipped cheese on a thick cut of toast! This kind of restaurant/bar is what the Moab area is lacking, so I think with the right “add ons” to the already wonderful experience ( good wine, good service, good vibes ) they are bound to succeed. I loved the place! ( did not love the bill )
