A Hidden Gem Brunch Spot – Visiting from out of town, we found ourselves in search of a good brunch spot when La Malquerida popped up on Google with an eyebrow-raising 15 reviews, all 5 stars. Skeptical but feeling adventurous, we decided to give it a go. Spoiler alert: this place absolutely lives up to the hype! Don’t let the taco signs fool you! La Malquerida brand-new vibe adds to its charm, making you feel like you’re in on a secret spot the locals haven’t all discovered yet. This isn’t just any brunch menu—it’s a melting pot of flavors. From American breakfast staples to Mexican classics, every dish has its own twist, blending comfort food with rich, authentic flavors. We tried the Chilaquiles with Oaxaca cheese, and wow! Crispy tortillas smothered in a tangy sauce with gooey, melty Oaxaca cheese on top—it was the perfect combo of savory and satisfying. It’s clear the chef knows how to take traditional Mexican ingredients and elevate them to brunch heaven. If you’re looking for something familiar, they also have American classics like pancakes and eggs Benedict, but it’s the Mexican options that really shine.

All the food was delicious! Many traditional American breakfast options on the menu as well as traditional Mexican entrees. The Tamale Oaxaqueño was my favorite! The restaurant is a must try.

0 STARS FOR LITERALLY NO SERVICE NOR FOOD. i placed an online order, money was taken out of mu account and confirmation of order was received through email, however, when i went to go pick it up, i find out the address they have listed is no longer this restaurant. i tried to call them to hopefully get a different address but the phone number is out of service. DO NOT PLACE ONLINE ORDERS. it appears the restaurant went out of business and never updated their information on google. now i have to dispute this charge with my bank.

The food was absolutely amazing! We ordered a birria soup to go, and it was everything I was hoping for—flavorful, with perfectly tender meat. It definitely hit the spot! My only suggestion would be to top it off a little more and include a bit more meat in the to-go order. I’m sure the dine-in experience is even better, but overall, I highly recommend this place. Will definitely be back!

We stopped in for breakfast. I had the avocado and egg sandwich and it was wonderful. The outside is freshly painted and all bright. The inside is clean and new and everybody was really friendly. They didn’t have iced tea yet, but that’s because the tea had not been delivered yet. But they do plan on having sweet and unsweet tea. Otherwise they have Pepsi products which normally I would devour, but I’m diabetic and I have to stay off the soda. We can’t wait to go back for dinner.

Tamales, enchiladas, arroz con leche, absolutely delicious. Green salsa on enchiladas was outstanding in spice level and flavour. Will be here again soon!
