First time here with my breakfast bestie. We like to try new places that neither of us or at least one of us hasn’t been to. In this case, neither of us have been here before.
Very cute, definite “trackside” restaurant. Welcoming interior, warm and inviting. Tho for folks who’ve never been you have no idea what to do. Do you sear yourself? Wait to be seated? (Didn’t see the usual sign) so I asked the woman standing to pay at the counter the protocol. She said she just got takeout but yes, just sear yourself.
I arrived a few minutes before my friend so I got a seat by the window to wait. There were two dirty tables next to me, the place wasn’t busy, but unsure how long they’d been there?
I thought someone would’ve come to greet me with a menus, offer coffee.
No. They don’t roll that way. You browse a trifold menu at the counter and place your order there. Oj and/or bottled milk is in the cooler behind you and self serve coffee in warmers at the end of th counter.
We ordered.
Food was delicious and portions were hefty. I got the Benedict with a side of home fries because it didn’t come with any? Friend got an omelet, instead of toast, had a side of pancakes.
$36 for two breakfasts, a coffee and bottle of milk. Quaint little town and atmosphere to boot! We’ll return to explore other menu items for sure! It was nice to have the rumbles of a train go by while dining too

Traveling for work from Burlington, Vermont to Pittsfield, Maine. About a six or seven hour trip I came across this restaurant as there is not much on the route. I didn’t want to order the lobster roll. I mean, how could it be for a road Stop diner? Well if it’s anything like my cheeseburger, it would’ve been wonderful. Much better than I expected. Fantastic little spot if you just happen to pass by.

I’m used to eating a Rachel that has been grilled, but their Rachel was still delicious. Good coffee and cool vibe here.

We were in town for my wife’s stepmother’s funeral. My father-in-law brought us to this establishment for lunch. I have been to Maine before so I automatically wanted the lobster roll. Unfortunately they ran out of lobster for lobster roll. But what they did have was enough lobster for lobster stew which they made on the fly for me. I’m pretty sure I did not thank them as profusely as I intended to. Instead, I got a Reuben sandwich with a side of poutine.
While, I’m not a maniac , and I’m very much Texan I do appreciate good service. This is not the service that you would normally find in a super busy establishment like Applebee’s. This is the kind of service that we all hope and dream to find and the staff on hand were amazing. The food was right up there with everything else.
I can’t thank you guys enough we do appreciate you and would highly suggest you to anybody passing through. You need to eat here.

We had a great meal at Ted’s. The staff were all friendly and welcoming, the food was fresh, the coffee was great. The lobster roll on croissant was phenomenal. And the cheesecakes were some of the best we’ve eaten. If we ever find ourselves in Winthrop again, we’ll return!

I can’t say enough good about Ted’s Trackside Grill. They have been constantly improving the space there in, the food is consistently delicious, and I always love the atmosphere inside sitting at there new bar, with pine walls and the small town diner feel. I recommend my favorite which is the steak and sasauge Benny. My wife loves to come for lunch and get the Garlic aioli burger . This summer I’ve been taking my kids there for breakfast and sitting out at the patio, Its perfect! Great food, great people. This has become a Saturday tradition! Love it!

Super Yummy Sandwiches!
And they have gluten-free bread. I ordered The Conductor, which was a little messy but so so worth it!
Excellent service and cute train decor.
