Used to enjoy this place. Recently went to pick up a “Too Good to Go” order and we were treated rudely. The guy grumbled about the program/app, “They’re basically paying for cheese pizza.” I replied, “That’s fine, we like your cheese pizza,” with a smile. He proceeded to toss a slice of buffalo chicken and two slices of something w/tomato and spinach, no sauce into a box and shove it our way. He was clearly unhappy about the app, which is intended to keep food from going to waste and actually brings ppl into businesses. Mind you, this was about 7:00 p.m. and they had only one table of diners, so bringing in traffic would seem like a good thing. I might’ve ordered something more and made an in-store purchase, but with the rude treatment we just left and aren’t inclined to go back. My daughter likes their pasta and the pizza is normally good. I wouldn’t complain about the selections we got at the end of his night if not for his comment about the cheese pizza [and he passed over the 4 remaining cheese slices to give us the stuff that clearly wasn’t going to sell.] If you don’t like the app, just opt out. Don’t treat folks who would like to be paying customers like second rate b/c you’re having a bad night, would be my advice.

I have only been here twice before with one of my friends and it has been absolutely stellar each time. We’re broke college kids and I just realized that we had forgotten to leave a tip the last times we went, and I feel terrible The family behind this restaurant deserves a full tip jar each and every day. The very first time I came here, we were given a giant plate of garlic knots that I’m pretty sure was double the amount listed on the menu. 100/10 would reccomend, and I’ll for sure be coming back soon (with extra money for a tip this time )

Listen Memphis and tourists! This authentic Italian restaurant has everything on the menu. The food is incredible from the stuff shells to the white pizza to the stromboli. The garlic knot bread is delicious! Excellent service, food, quality and quantity. Highly recommended for Italian foodies. You don’t want to miss The Boss!

This place is great! Cheesecake Boss is my boys’ favorite place to eat in the city. I’ve brought a number of groups to eat here and every time it has been wonderful. Pizza and pasta both excellent, especially the pasta carbonara. Strongly recommend!

Been twice, food and staff are amazing on both trips. Some of the best tasting Italian food in Memphis and it’s affordable. BTW, this is coming from an Italian. I will return weekly, menu is extensive as well. Casual atmosphere but high quality and amazing food.

These people DO NOT KNOW THE DIFFERENCE IN A STROMBOLI AND A CALZONE!!!! He said the only difference is the cheese!!! Is he insane??!! They are different breads!!! One is soft and fluffy and one is hard!!! The calzone is hard! I ordered a ham, pepperoni, and cheese Stromboli. I got a calzone. He asked me WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE ♀️ ♀️ How do you run an Italian shop and NOT KNOW THE DIFFERENCE??? So he tried to get out of his ignorance by saying “you know Milanos” OH YEA I KNOW THEM WELL. He said well “das my boss”…. So I called the Manager at my Milanos and yes they know of him but he is NOT AFFILIATED WITH US! “HE IS JUST TRYING TO GET OUT OF HIS MESS UP.” I said, I know, because all I get is a Stromboli I don’t do Calzones. Then I call back “CHEESECAKE BOSS”
Relay the message and he says… ma’am I have a customer “what you want”
So let’s BE CLEAR!!! I WANTED A STROMBOLI AND PAID ALMOST $11 for a calzone. He didn’t want to hear it. At the end of the day he can’t own up to a mistake and I presume because he is Mexican he has no idea about ITALIAN HISTORY OR FOOD. STROMBOLI IS NAMWD AFTER THE VOLCANO STROMBOLI!!!!
