I can’t speak on the food, I didn’t have any; I was here recently to perform.
Parking is a bit tight, if you have an option to CarPool, go for it.
I thought it a little odd there were kids all over. This place is 1 bar out in the middle of the woods, so I can only assume when folks need a night out, this is where they go with them.
There was Only 1 bartender until 8/8:30 on a Saturday night, so it was difficult to even get a glass of water, let alone a drink
But other than this, the highlights are:
Plenty of seating high tops and tables
Spacious
VERY nice grateful owners
Pool table
Space for full band to play
Cool pint glasses
Guiness if your particular on the pour, ask 1st
2 bathrooms
We’re definitely coming back and had fun overall.
Be sure to have a Designated Driver so you get home safe! Those backroads are lonely and dark, but barely any lights or stop signs.

We had a great lunch at the Rusty Nail. The nachos with chili were fantastic, we cleared the plate. Their tots are everything and more, great burgers, and they are generous with portions. You will not leave hungry! The staff was very friendly and gave us good suggestions. Glad we visited!

This place is a local Watering Hole / biker bar. They have live bands here. I think on the weekends only. The staff is helpful and friendly and their drink and beer prices are reasonable. There is a pool table and a few electronic soft-tip dart boards. There always seems to be free Serve Yourself popcorn.
In the past year I’ve been to the Rusty Nail a handful of times and each time I stop here I wonder why I don’t stop here more often. I have not eaten anything off of their menu yet and that is the only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars. I plan to do so in the near future and update my review. If you like down to earth people and rustic places this bar will probably be a good fit for you.

Old school bar and grill. Food is excellent and the bar is classic! Gotta love all the the great Connecticut brews they serve too. Just down the road from Burr Pond State Park! Have a swim or hike and then come here for a great end to the day!
