I have been looking for quality NY style pizza in summit county for a long time and I have finally found it at Big Star. Big Star has some of the best pizza in summit county. If you want legit NY style pizza, this is it. The owner is incredibly nice and friendly. 10/10 pizza and service. Give them your business!!!

Just stopped at Big Star Pizza for a late dinner. We got there around 8 and even though it was late they were super friendly and welcoming. We had New York style cheese pizza, Greek salad and cheese garlic bread. Everything was really tasty. Relaxed and clean dining area. We are not from the area but if we were this would be a regular place for us.

I must say I am shocked and underwhelmed, especially after reading great reviews. I was so excited to try this place to just be let down. My pizza (NY style, pepperoni/sausage/extra cheese) totally lacked any flavor and reminded me of a store bought frozen pizza. Maybe it was just a bad day but I’m not willing to try it again.

My husband would go there for his lunch breaks when he would work that way. He would ALWAYS bring me home Baklava (which is always perfect and not from a freezer!!!). Now we drive 40 minutes just to get it!! The family who has ran this pizza shop for years, are so kind, especially the father and son!!! Great service, family owned and they make you feel like family ! The pizza is the best I’ve had in a while. The cheeseburger is also melt in your mouth good but if you really want something to hit the spot order a Philly deluxe with buffalo sauce and a side of onion rings( aka the Gino Special) you won’t regret it !

Excellent pizza shop. I had New York style and Sicilian style and both were delicious. Will definitely order again. Have reordered a few times and it’s been consistently great. Ordered pizza well done for a crunchy crust and it was delicious. Tried the calzone with cheese and it tasted great will reorder.

Discovered this place a couple months ago. Have ordered the NY Style a handful of times now, and it’s been perfect every time. Drive from Highland Square in Akron for this pie. Thin, crispy, the perfect sauce to cheese ratio. Great homemade dough. Big Star is doing things right. Hard to eat anything else after having this.

edit 3/13 – Added a sausage sandwich w marinara and mozzarella to my order today. Excellent Going to try the deli (aka Italian) next time. If the pizza and sausage sandwich are this good, I’m sure it will be delicious
