KPB Asian Bistro is hands down one of my favorite Chinese restaurants, and that’s saying a lot since we’re from NYC, where we’re surrounded by a plethora of cuisine options. Whenever we visit southern California, we’re sure to make a stop here, where my kids each have their favorite dishes, and my husband and I also have our own favorite dishes. The dishes are prepared in flaming hot, sizzling woks (you can peek through the windows and see the cooking going on). The sauces are full of flavor and I can taste authentic ingredients (for example, there were visible orange zest-peels in the orange chicken sauce). The ingredients are fresh and cooked to perfection (beef, chicken, shrimp, and fish are all tender).
Someone advised me to eat at the restaurant rather than bringing it home to eat. She was right. I had the ginger scallion fish twice on different occasions – once as take-out (by which time the fish had become a bit soggy) and at the restaurant (where the fish was hot and crispy beneath the flavorful sauce). But if you can’t eat at the restaurant, the food is still delicious. Crispy things just won’t be as crispy anymore.
Our favorites include the ginger scallion fish, walnut shrimp, beef chow fun (wide noodles), orange chicken, and the kungpao chicken…I feel like I could list the whole menu.
The restaurant is somewhat hidden in a corporate complex so it’s not open on weekends. But once you find it and step inside, there’s no mistake that the fragrance of food permeates the air.
The seating is not fancy, but comfortable and spacious. And the family that runs this restaurant is great!
We can’t wait to return.

This is a hidden gem. If you don’t know where it’s at, you can easily pass it by. It’s in a industrial complex. Only open Monday through Friday. The service is great. Clean and well kept. Seating is not all cramped together. Chow mein, shrimp fried rice, chow fun, egg rolls, all delicious.

Solid 4.5…then why the 4 star? They don’t make half’s duhhh! But, In all seriousness ,I rounded down because of these minute things:

I had to ask for utensils & napkins; second, the lack of beverage choices available.

Strictly Food: I found each dish delicious; savory and balanced. The orange chicken over white rice had the perfect crisp. The sauce on it was a great new flavor IMO. A great choice for first timers. Dish portions are spot on. I could see this place killing Panda Express on a franchise level.

Sides/Appetizers: each sauce provided with each appetizer are perfectly paired. The tempura shrimps breading was perfect, served warm, cooked perfectly.

The dumplings, good stand alone, but with their sauce…oooooweeee! Really enjoyed those. The cook on them could have been a bit more crisp, not crunchy, just a bit more crisp.

And my favorite, the cream cheese wontons. While I did find them a bit salty, stand alone, the sauce they are served with take them up a notch, best wontons I’ve ate to date!! Can’t believe a sauce elevated them that much more. I took some home to my kids who love wontons, and they me to drive back now (1-1.5hr trip).

(Taken from my “pley” review).

I found this place on Ggogle, under Asian food. It’s kind of out of the way, but they concentrate on catering, mostly. I had the Walnut Shrimp, with white rice and a medium drink. It’s just under $20, and it was delicious! I couldn’t believe the place wasn’t packed, it was that good!

The kung-pao bowl is a MUST-TRY!!! Having just come back from Asia (Taiwan/Japan) and eating great food there, the flavor’s fantastic on this chicken. Lots of parking.

One of the best places for quick, clean and yummy Asian plates. Food is original and doesn’t taste of typical Asian food joints in the area. KPB does it very well. This is a smaller place that fills quickly with the lunch crowd and parking can be tough so be sure to carpool. This place is well worth the hunt for a parking spot!

Good experience, was wanting to eat light with lots of fresh vegetables.
The food flavorful, not too oily and with the eggflower soup and eggroll combo made a satisfying meal.
