This bakery is truly a hidden gem! The croissants here are absolutely delicious — fresh, buttery, perfectly flaky on the outside and soft inside. You can really taste the quality and care in every bite. Some of the best croissants I’ve had in a long time.

The coffee is also excellent — rich, smooth, and well-balanced. Whether you order espresso, cappuccino, or latte, it pairs perfectly with their pastries. Everything feels fresh and made with attention to detail.

The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the service is friendly. You can tell they care about what they do.

One small suggestion: it would really help if the business was more visible on Google Maps. From a distance or from above on the map, it’s not very noticeable. I actually discovered this place only because I happened to walk by. It would be great if the Google Maps listing and photos could be updated so more people can find this amazing spot!

Highly recommend stopping by — definitely worth it.

One of my favorite cafes / bakeries. Perfect for a coffee date, catch up, client meeting or quick stop for dessert after dinner. The mango tart is my favorite but my family loves the creme brulee and eclaires. I haven’t had anything bad here ever! My only disappointment is when they run out! Service is excellent and the atmosphere is laid back and cozy. 10/10 highly recommend

We visited Pierre & Michel Authentic French Bakery and had a lovely time overall. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a charming French-inspired vibe that made it a cozy place to relax. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which added to the overall experience.

We ordered a caramel cappuccino with cinnamon and a hot mocha—both drinks were excellent. Rich, smooth, and well-balanced in flavor, they really hit the spot and were definitely the highlight of our visit.

We also tried the mango tart, which unfortunately didn’t quite live up to expectations. It tasted more like it was made with canned mangoes and had an artificial flavor that took away from the freshness we were hoping for. That was a bit of a letdown, especially considering how beautiful it looked.

Despite the tart, we really enjoyed our visit and would absolutely come back—especially for the coffee and the ambiance. Looking forward to trying more items from their menu next time!

We always get special occasion cakes from here. After you’ve tasted their products, you can’t have any other cakes anymore. We can’t get enough of their cakes. The Best!! It’s worth the money and travel to pick them up.

Stopped in here on a hot day for a quick ice coffee and decided to sit and have a pastry as well. Wow, are we glad we did, the pastry (Rum cake), was one of the best pastries that I’ve ever had, we devoured it and licked the spoons. You can also get pastries to go and pretend you made them yourself! We’ll definitely be stopping back in again.

I ended up coming here unexpectedly, and it was a great experience.

The prices are fair, and the food is delicious!

The baguette was so much bigger than I expected, and it was good to split between two people.

The desserts were also great. The tiramisu was a stand out!

“Their cakes are absolutely amazing. As someone who was born and raised in Turkey, I could never really enjoy American-style cakes — they just didn’t taste the same to me. But this bakery is truly a gem in NJ. The quality of their cakes is exceptional, and every bite is incredibly rich and delicious.”

The pastries here are the absolute best! This is my go to place for anything pastry and baked goods related. I come here so often and I am never disappointed by the delicious desserts available. My favorite is the fresh berry tart as well as the tiramisu!!! So creamy and perfectly sweet. The staff is super friendly and the environment is just so calm and peaceful. Overall, I recommend this place 10000000%

We really enjoyed the pastries that we tried from Pierre & Michel bakery. We went with high hopes and the food did not disappoint. It is a quaint place with limited seating and they tend to sell out of the popular items quickly especially during weekends. Would definitely like to visit again to try more of the pastries.

I’ve been a customer of this location since it opened because I always appreciated the quality of the bread/sandwiches, but I have to say I was very disappointed with my recent order. The sandwich I received was shockingly small—barely half a baguette with egg & ham—yet it still cost $14.

Not only is the portion size drastically smaller than what used to be offered, but the value for money is simply not there anymore.

I understand that businesses face rising costs, but reducing portions this dramatically without adjusting the pricing feels misleading and unfair to your customers. Unfortunately, unless this changes, I can’t justify coming back or recommending your food to others, which is a shame because I used to truly enjoy it. Staff is very pleasant and the atmosphere is perfect for Somerville but it’s not worth price.
