I waiter did an excellent job waiting on us. I had the garlic knots,and Philly cheese steak. The Philly was on point and had flavor, the garlic knots was way to much garlic and over powering to the taste buds our waiter did take them off the bill so was pleased about that. If you do go and get them tell them light garlic.

The Crew pizza was very good and the mozzarella sticks were okay nothing special. The service was great and the price was okay not cheap but not too expensive. They have plenty of seating inside and outside. The takeout is in the back of the restaurant.

I don’t even know where to begin! Hawthorne’s NY Pizza and Bar Concord is the absolute BEST! I am the Founder/Executive Director of Mint to Be of the Carolinas, a non-profit organization in Concord, NC. I had been working with Kelly (the manager) and her team about our Fall Community Annual Baby shower for mothers and their families of Cabarrus County. We always have a catered meal for the families. I reached out to Kelly and the management team and our organization is so honored to have had Hawthorne’s as our Presenting Sponsor for the event. We are so thankful for the team believing in our mission and honoring those who need in our our community. Kelly, I can’t thank you and the Hawthorne’s team enough. Good food, excellent service, it’s cozy. There is an entrance to the parking garage. Through a series of doors and steps. Maybe not the best for handicap unless you’re parked right in the front. My biggest drawback… my seating in the dining area. They have the storage stock room on display in dining area. Why??? They have a nice cabinet against the back wall for it, but at least put doors on it. And here’s the kicker, their back door has this whole open unusable area for a take out counter. Move your stock room cabinets back there. They shouldn’t be in the main dining area up against seating.

Orders a kids pepperoni pizza to go and receive a cheese pizza. When picking it up I noticed it was cheese and I asked the lady in the front if I said cheese or pepperoni and she said I said cheese but on the receipt it says pepperoni!!! I didn’t get it changed or anything! Truly disappointing since this has never happened to me and I’ve always ordered the same order and I know how the takeout paper looks like !

I’ve held back a review on this place for a while. For some reason I keep allowing them to screw up delivery orders and I have to speak on it. 4 or 5 separate times now, I’ve gotten Hawthorne’s via DoorDash. It is literally NEVER right. And to make it worse, DoorDash refuses to refund me because we were hungry and didn’t take pictures before eating. Just because we ate the food we waited a hour for (no fault of the Dasher that waited at the store for over 20 minutes, whom I actually felt the need to send a message apologizing to them for having to wait that long) does not make incorrect orders any more acceptable.
Among a laundry list of other incorrect orders, tonight’s consisted of a poorly made, rubbery dough, $20 Italian calzone that had a pound of ricotta inside (ricotta is not on Italian calzones), and had maybe 5-6 total pepperonis and a handful of sausage. If I had 10g of protein in there, I’m lucky. I have never seen such a poorly made calzone, and this is my favorite Italian item. I also paid extra for extra sauce on my wings, I felt required to because they are never sauced even adequately in my previous orders. Well, you guessed it. Virtually unsauced.
I’ve been here once in-person in the past, and I can’t recall my experience. But what I can recall is this place going 0/4 with customer satisfaction on delivery orders, and I will never make this mistake again.
THEY SHOULD CANCEL DELIVERY. And they should get a phone that works because there’s also no way to reach them tonight. May of saved this review, some. Still can’t erase my previous experiences.

Gentleman Caller
We finally made it to Hawthorne’s. We have tried on the weekends but they are always too busy, so a Wednesday was great for us. Date night. The food was delicious and the staff were super friendly. I think Todd was our server, great guy. The waffle fries I had to start were all crisp and hot. The pizza was very good. My only complaint would be that the crust was very thin and couldn’t hold the toppings without folding. That was ok though cause I just folded it taco style! We will definitely be back to try the cocktails and beer sometime.

Cat, Lana, Kenzie, and Sallie were absolutely wonderful!! All of them had beautiful smiles on and and wonderful attitudes. I was greeted very quickly and everything I needed was already at my table or was given to me very promptly!! My table was also very tidy, Kenzie took the time to clear everything out of my way when I finished eating which I really appreciated. Everything was delivered with a smile on their face. As I was leaving Sallie went out of her way to tell me to have a wonderful day and it brightened my whole mood. Wonderful resturant, delicious food, and SPECTACULAR service. So proud of these young ladies!

Highly impressed! It was a first time visit for me and my family. From start to finish our experience was superb! Food was tasty! Now I know where to go for a delicious Caesar salad. Our server Leslie was a sweetheart!! My Husband and I have made the decision to make this our Tuesday dinner spot moving forward. It’s nice to have a restaurant like this in the heart of Concord.
