I recently visited Panera Bread and was thoroughly disappointed with my meal. The chicken noodle soup was good but barely warm. The accompanying bread was underbaked, with a moist and doughy center that made it unappetizing. My sandwich was equally disappointing, when I took a bite, the meat was chilled straight through to the core but somehow the cheese was melted, and yes I asked for the sandwich to be hot. The only redeeming part of the experience was the agave lemonade, which was refreshingly good. Overall, this visit fell far short of expectations for a place known for fresh, quality food, not worth the $20.49.

I’ve had some bad meals in my day but this is by and far the worst. The cashier couldn’t work the cash register properly so here comes the manager to straighten things out. That still took 10 minutes to do.
So after the order was placed it was uncanny just how fast it was ready. The first spoonful of the French Onion soup told the tale. It was cold , the cheese wasn’t melted and the croutons ( I guess instead of French bread) were stale. Oh did I mention the soup was cold.
And the so called kitchen staff were of no help at all. As in it was hot when we put it in the bowl.
I heard Panara bread was so good. Why lie to me!
I’ll never go back. The Rivergate location needs a complete overhaul or closed for good.

If you want your order to be correctly made, do not go here. I submitted an order over the app so all requests were in writing – my salad was completely wrong. Wrong base greens, wrong ingredients, requested add ons not included. The worst part is they put onions on it when I specifically asked for NO onions. I cannot eat onions – this salad went in the trash… total waste of money. Let me add that I did not check it before making the 25 minute drive home, so I was not going back! The order was also late and the place was empty, it should have been ready on time. I will NOT be back to this location. The people need to learn to READ!

Every time I do an order on the app is has been perfect. No issues and usually done 5 min ahead of their time line. Friendly staff, always clean. Sometimes they run out of chocolate croissants!!

I was so excited to see they have a bowl option. I ordered it and the size was so small for the price ($12 for bowl only) that even a 5 yrs kids will not be full. Food test was good (mainly sauce), but I literally have to do to different restaurant and get more food for my lunch hunger.

I Had an Excellent experience. I placed a to go order in the parking lot and forgot to choose curbside. I spotted an employee delivering a curbside order and asked could I change my order to curbside? Or did I have to go in? She changed it and went back inside to bring the order. Very easy to talk to and my food was delicious. I tried the Flatbread pizza, the brownie and an almond vanilla cold brew. Everything was great.

Haven’t been to Panera Bread in forever as one is not near where I live. Visiting daughter who lives in Madison and she recommended it. Ordered a French dip type sandwich and they might as well called it a bread sandwich. Horrible. Person making the meals never even acknowledged people getting their order and saying thank you.

Although I am not a huge fan of the Rivergate area, I am a huge fan of Panera. I stopped in for a quick lunch and was not disappointed! Amazing, quick service, and my meal was so good. The grill cheese sandwich is a comfort food item for me, and I love Panera’s! I usually get the tomato soup, but they had their seasonal Southwest Corn Chowder on the menu….and it was spectacular. After eating, I sat outside for a quick minute before leaving. Unfortunately, I am never comfortable being in the Rivergate area; there are quite a few people in the area that panhandle, and I am one who will try to “help” (I know, I know, I shouldn’t, but I can’t help wanting to “help”!). Love the employees at this Panera, though….

We really enjoyed the food and the great service! They were kind to put together a vegan meal for us, even letting us look through the ingredients for allergen info! I had a beautiful salad and my husband enjoyed steel cut oats and a bagel. The atmosphere was very relaxing and we enjoyed our time there!
