They must have change owners. Not as good as it was a decade ago but all right beats any fast food restaurant the cheeseburgers and french fries at a reasonable price if you’re on the go call him up you’ll have it ready like 10 minutes

I’m a fan. I’m a Sunnyvale native … 44 years now. This place has been around since I can remember. To this day, they serve delicious food for a reasonable price. I got the chicken (+bacon & cheese) sandwich + fries, and a (delicious!) steak sandwich with a baked potato (with tip) for under $20. The food was outstanding (and tastes great the next day, if you’re prone to doggy bags), the service was really good and the price was fine by me. Maybe not a hip hangout joint, but the place is giant, so it’s good for large groups, and even the booths are accommodating to plus-size crowd. I wish they’d have at least their menu online, but I guess old-school is old-school, take it or leave it. I’m definitely a fan!

This place has been around forever. If you’re looking for an okay steak, bake potato, salad and garlic bread you won’t be disappointed. The atmosphere is funky old Western but has some charm. The staff is super friendly. Their breakfast menu is huge but I’ve never eaten breakfast there.

Been coming to this place since I was a little girl with my mom & aunt (who’d eat in the adjoining bar so they could have their cocktails), and now I’m age 60! This casual steakhouse is great for large groups, plenty of room for wheelchairs, & active kids. Good, solid home-cookin’! The owner/cook always remembers me, regardless of how long it is between visits (since I don’t live so close anymore). I used to bring my son in there when he was little, and he’s now 22! Very friendly staff, good prices & good food makes this lost type of establishment a rare gem in Silicon Valley!

Have been going there for over 30 years. This place is so awesome! ! I have never had a problem with their food. Big portions at a reasonable price. I recommend the steak sandwich or the mushroom burger. Anyway, you will enjoy whatever you order.

This is not part of the Longhorn steakhouse chain. Rather, it is a locally owned restaurant that has been around FOREVER. The cuisine as you would guess is burgers, steaks, ribs, etc. The decor is a dated Western theme that I like in a nostalgic way. The food is tasty with very generous portions. Substitutions are allowed for included side dishes. A good variety of bottled beer is available. The prices are modest by Silicon Valley standards. It has counter service and a very friendly staff. I once accidentally knocked over my beer and was immediately presented with a new one at no additional charge.

This is a great old times place to get a open charbroiled steak. Burgers, chops, sandwiches and breakfast is also on the menu. Nothing fancy, but perfect baked potato, great salad dressing, really awesome garlic bread. Sounds familiar? The food was very good and the place made me feel nostalgic for places like Burger Pit and Sizzler. Like Longhorn, still around, but hard to find.

If you’re a snob, a pretentious whiner or like decor more than food look elsewhere. As others have mentioned, if you like traditional American food you’ll love it. We go here for breakfast which is great and I love their dinner menu. I always get the steak, best steak for the price compared to any other place and does not cost an arm and a leg.

The dinner comes with soup or salad, last time I got vegetable soup and it was utterly delicious and they cooked the steak exactly as I wanted, amazing!

I have eaten my way across four continents and their is nothing like simple, unpretentious American cooking to satisfy the palate and soul.

This was a favorite when I attended Fremont high school in the early 90s. The pace hasn’t changed a bit which I absolutely love about it. Wether it’s breakfast lunch or dinner, you can’t go wrong. Bacon, eggs and pancakes or a nice steak dinner. You’ll enjoy it all. The gal that runs the place is super nice and always has a smile when you come in 🙂
