Selection of sweets is not bad. But be aware, coffee cups doesn’t have a handle, at all. And the cup is very hot. I almost burnt my fingers. Doesn’t make any sense.

I went into this place thinking it was like a Panera bread or a Starbucks. Okay atmosphere and pastries. I was mad though because I ordered $20 worth of food and then sat down in a space that I thought was for all customers. All the waiters were looking at me weird, and then one came up and told me I had to leave because I wasn’t dining with them. I thought it was really rude because he didn’t even ask if I wanted anything to eat or anything. There also weren’t any signs that showed that that area was only for certain kinds of customers. I think that if you are that strict about a seating policy that you would kick out a paying customer then there should at least be a sign or a host up front to tell you so, so that you aren’t suddenly kicked out like I was. Just so unpleasant. I was only there for a few minutes and had paid a lot of money for not that great of food. I just found it very rude and inconsiderate. I would not recommend this place to anyone especially if you’re looking for a place to just work and drink coffee.

Their pastries are amazing. The mini pancakes are a major highlight, so is the lemon tart. The berry tart is a classic and the hot chocolate is bitter and rich. The belgian waffle was nice but the whipped cream on top was a bit sour and so I ended up scooping about half of it off since it overpowered the waffle and strawberries.
The savory items we were not a fan of. We tried two different “tartines”, the turkey avocado bacon and the mozzarella chicken melt. Both were a strange flavor that didn’t really mesh together or do it for us… There was too much dill in the turkey one and the chicken mozzarella was just tolerable. Would not recommend.

It’s my neighborhood place so it’s convenient and food overall is good. Service is super slow and at times just plain bad in the dining area (Cashiers are polite and responsive). Today I saw a waitress had an attitude with an older lady seating across from me. She had asked for oil and was kept waiting a while. When she asked again, the waitress was so rude it was painful

Coffe is average. Cappuccino was huge, and milk was over frothed. Food was below average, we got the scrambled egg croissant, egg was old and had been reheated, salad on the side was barely edible from how old it was. Overall disappointing and not io to Pain co standard.
Service slow.
Atmosphere was the only positive point, the spot is quite charming.

Walked in an no one greeted me while employees chatted and I had to interrupt their conversation to ask where mobile pick up was. Food was good. Handed me a bag and two cups of coffee without a drink carrier. Reminded them that I had three drinks and needed a carrier. She grabbed the wrong drink, then I told her I needed a water. She then started helping another customer. I asked her was I supposed to grab the water somewhere else? She then grabbed a sparkling water. I told her I had still water. After leaving I and drinking my coffee I realize they either made the worst vanilla latte ever or made a coffee with artificial sweetener and gave it to me on accident.

Horrible coffee. Couldn’t finish my iced coffee because it just tasted so bad to me. Added a bunch of sugar and milk just to try and make it seem better but that didn’t even help. The food was rough too. Both my gf and I didn’t finish our meals (and I’m not one to not finish a meal) because it just wasn’t tasty. The food looked good for a photo but tasted bad! Bread was decent though but much better places to go to if you want fresh loaf of bread

Delicious food and great atmosphere.
I’d like to note that the staff does come off direct which some could view as rude. We had a delightful time eating here and the staff was very friendly and welcoming.

Can you believe this is the first time I have ever set foot inside a Le Pain Quotidien? I am not sure why that is but I finally got a chance to sample their fare at one of their newest location in the upper west side. This new location opened last month and is on the corner of 76th and Broadway which formerly was the home of Maison Kayser.
The space is beautiful, bright, and clean, with white marble counters and blond wood accents. The baked goods are gorgeously presented in the glass case by the entrance. The staff here are super friendly; was greeted as soon as I walked in and made to feel welcome.
I ordered the mixed berry tart and a raspberry rose macaron. The tart was fantastic! The berries tasted very fresh, the cream filling was so tasty, and it had a nice crust. The macaron, surprisingly, was just alright. Props for presentation but I wished it were fresher. The bottom portion of the macaron was already soft from being in the case too long. I can imagine this being a dynamite dessert when it is from a fresh batch, but I think I came too late in the day.
Prices are what you would expect for the UWS, so for me, it’s a little bit of a splurge but it doesn’t mean I won’t be back. On this visit, I opted for a couple of baked goods to go but made a mental note to try table service on my next visit.

Beautiful store from the outside. Unfortunately not the same on the inside. Service is below average/poor. Inside is clean but the service and the food :(( many more places that are in the similar price point but if they were just a bit less rude. I do not recommend coming in here for sweets or coffee.. especially for the price. Atmosphere is poor. Window from the outside seems like the only nice thing. Service is very poor- rude.
