A wonderful food experience. The flavors from the salsa to the horchata tease the taste buds in a brilliantly unique way.
The food here is by far the best overall Latino food that I have tasted and all of Bakersfield.
That being said, the staff that were on duty the day that I visited spoke primarily Spanish but seem to have a basic understanding of what I asked for. However, they were very inattentive to my table. Twice, I had to get up and ask for something. I think that’s stem from the language barrier more than it did from their lack of professionalism .
The atmosphere was a bit antiquidated and slightly cramped. You get the feeling that they purchased this building or are renting it because it’s cheap. And the arrangement does not do their food the justice it deserves.
That being said, it is very clean. From the entrance way, to the restrooms, it is clear they take care for their sanitation.
It was a little pricey, but not a reasonable – especially for the quality.

We went and ate here for dinner tonight, and it was absolutely amazing! The restaurant theme was great. They have multiple tv’s so on a sports night it would be a great place to watch it and enjoy great food! Speaking of; we ordered steak fajitas, 2 of the tamales, and pupusas. All were amazing! We could smell the flavor coming off of the fajitas when María José our server dropped them to us! She was an excellent server. She kept our drinks full, and checked on us regularly, which was great because we tend to need things often :). The experience was great and I can’t say enough. Whether you want to go on a date, enjoy the game, family meal, or just a spot to hang out with your friends over some great food, definitely give Sabor Latino a try, you won’t regret it! Thank you for the yummy food and great service.

The pupusa are full of flavor, and 1 is just enough to fill up. Comes with the salsa and the cabbage. I ordered the mixed pupusa, which had beans, cheese, and chicharones. So filling. We also ordered the chicken tamale, and the masa tasted good and was soft enough to let the baby taste a little. Very clean, and our waitress was very attentive. She was a joy to speak to.

New restaurant this week. I just stopped in to grab my grandfather some pupusas. I saw they had Panes con pollo so I ordered it. I only had this once in the past and it was good. Well let me say they must of had Jesus in the back cooking. When you bite into something and it makes you close your eyes, I don’t think there are words to describe what your feeling. I like to think of myself as a rookie food critic but if I had any weight and credibility I would recommend this as a hit in Bakersfield. Service was great and it’s a bang for your buck. I wish I could of took a better pic but I had to eat.

Rather obscure restaurant. I have seen this for over two years and hadn’t been. A friend told me they have the best Pupusas in town.

Amazing things to say about this place. My husband and I were driving through Bakersfield on our way to LA, we opted to stop here and although they were about to close, the owner didn’t turn us away, she welcomed us. The food was delicious and we didn’t feel rush.

Delicious pupusas and savory pastelitos de carne. My favorite are the pupusas with chicharron, beans, and cheese. I love that they bring out a whole container of curtido (I like a lot on my pupusas). Their curtido is one of the best I’ve tasted. My son liked that they brought out chips and salsa while we waited for our food.
