Popped in here while in town for a work trip. Adorable spot and has a lot of character. Everything was extremely fresh and delicious. I popped in for a late breakfast / early lunch. The tartines are very good and the Niçoise salad so good. And of course, the coffee was great too. Would pop in again. For someone traveling solo, the bar was a great spot to sit but there are plenty of tables. If you want something unique and different I highly recommend!

I visited The Judith on New Year’s Day not knowing if it would be open, but as soon as I saw the warm lights from the counter, I knew I’d made the right choice. Parking was easy on the street, and stepping through the beautiful front door felt like entering a cozy French café right out of a Parisian neighborhood.
The place was bustling — every table and almost every seat at the bar was filled — and you could instantly tell this is a spot locals truly love. The French‑inspired decor, warm lighting, and chic yet relaxed vibe transported me straight to a café in France.
I sat at the bar and ordered a cortado, which was rich, smooth, and perfectly made. I also tried the Sardine & Rouille tartine — a slice of sourdough topped with Spanish sardines, rouille, sea salt, and a hint of lemon zest — and it was an unexpected revelation. I wouldn’t typically order something with sardines, but it just felt right, and it turned out to be one of the most flavorful and memorable bites I’ve had in this area so far.
The entire check for the cortado, tartine, and tip came to $14.72 — a small price for such a refined, memorable experience. From the impeccable coffee to the artful tartine, The Judith delivered an unforgettable breakfast that felt both refined and delightfully authentic. The French café ambiance, attentive service, and thoughtful food make this a must‑visit in Cleveland.

I should take away a point for the service which is sooo slow, however the place is lovely and the food was so Incredibly inventive, unusual and delicious, and the staff ended up being super nice and friendly that I would give this place ten stars if I could. We had lunch, all three of us had the salad Nicoisse, with a sublime citrus dressing which may have been the best I have ever had including in France. Even better if that was possible was the fava bean appetizer. Again some magical citrus dressing. You know a dish is special when your taste buds have an orgasm But you can’t figure out why. We also had the spicy bloody Maries. Highly recommended!

Second time here and this is the best privately-owned coffee shop I’ve been to in Ohio! You get your moneys worth in every sip and bite! They serve coffee out of glass mugs and that is a huge bonus! The workers are welcoming and friendly. The ambiance gives an antique and comfortable vibe. I will definitely be back.

One of the coziest coffee spots I’ve visited lately!
The vibes were absolutely charming — warm, welcoming, and beautifully set up. Everything we ordered tasted so fresh, especially the labneh! It had the perfect tangy flavor and smooth texture. The coffee was rich and perfectly brewed. Plus, the staff were super friendly and made the whole experience even better.
Highly recommend if you’re looking for a relaxed, feel-good place with quality food and great service

The food was incredibly fresh, and the latte was enjoyable. The restaurant was packed the entire time we were there, which makes sense given its popularity. However, I wish the menu included photos to make it easier to decide on what to order. My family and I were unfamiliar with some items and felt a bit rushed by the person taking orders. While the food took some time to prepare, everything arrived exactly as we ordered. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and I genuinely enjoyed visiting this location.

We couldn’t find a brunch place that wasn’t a long wait and the Juneberry table staff was rude to us . Instead, we drove a few blocks down the street to Judith. Open seating amazing coffee delicious French fair. A really nice ambience, coffee shop meets old French Café. Much nicer staff, great service. Highly recommend no wait on a busy Sunday. No pretensions or having to deal with the defensive line backer to try to get a table. We had their croque monsieur and croque royale. Bread is fresh baked. These breakfast sandwiches are heavenly. Lattes were perfect too.

For the positives, the inside is really cute and aesthetic. The guy at the front (manager?) was really nice, no complaints about him. That’s all the good I have to say though. Maybe I got the wrong thing. As a French person, I liked the French menu but again maybe I got the wrong thing. I know baguettes are hard, but I felt like I was breaking my jaw trying to eat this. It literally kept clicking and making loud noises as I tried REALLY HARD to eat this. People who ordered after me got their stuff first, even though I was at the bar and only ordered one thing. the customers here were extremely pretentious (not management’s fault, but it is a deterrent). People coming in after me took a while to be greeted, and it wasn’t clear if you must wait to be seated or if you can seat yourself so the customers and staff just stare at each other until someone chooses to do or say something. It was horrible vibes in here, which I hate saying because I love French cafes and cuisine. I think they have a lot of potential but if I came back I’d have to order something different. But I won’t come back, so.

I’ve wanted to come here for a few years, and finally found myself in Cleveland, and The Judith didn’t disappoint! I was so happy with all the food we ordered (we got almost everything on the menu and shared). The atmosphere was terrific, and the service was excellent. I felt like I was in another space in time, and I cannot wait to get back next time I’m in town! Thank you for creating such a wonderful place!!

This place is a gem. I lived in France on and off for many years, and this place has the feel of a provincial city café, which is a good thing (Paris can be slick). The owners have a direct link to France. Judith is the one owner’s mom; she was a French teacher, and apparently he hiked around France quite a bit. The place also has a great design sense– lots of patterns that are old and mixed well, a welcome hodge podge of cutlery from old places, etc. But underneath it, too, contemporary fixtures and bones when needed. The staff seemed relaxed, talkative, and in charge of their own decisions — all good signs. They were very nice and helpful. Also, the place CAN GO VEGAN. They were great at adapting things like the small plate — and even the nicçoise — to vegan fare. The touches were excellent. Good seasoning, dressing, not too much of a portion, but a good balance over all. The bread fresh and thick with dollops of berry jam just the way it should be. Finally, as is typical for a corner bar/café in the neighborhood in France, you could start with coffee and have a nice pastis or glass of wine before you hit the road in the afternoon. Lots of people were working away in the place from morning until after lunch.
