I ordered my daughter’s bd cake. The pâtissier lady called me back to ask me about our request details. Their raspberry mousse with chocolate sponge cake was just stunning! I am Japanese from Tokyo and am very picky about cakes. I can tell it was a great quality cake! Simple yet delicious!

Recently ordered a cake for my niece’s birthday and had great service. I emailed to inquire about a specific flavor combo, and Savannah got right back to me, letting me know they could accommodate and offering some tips for ordering. Before the order deadline, she reached back out to make sure I didn’t have any questions and to see if I needed any help getting it in, as she didn’t see it in their system (I had given my order over the phone under my first name and had been emailing her with my middle name that I go by). That attention to detail to make sure a customer wouldn’t miss out on an important date was great service and appreciated.
Food 5/5-
The cake itself (vanilla cake, strawberry buttercream frosting, strawberry gelee filling) was amazing. My niece declared it “the best cake I’ve ever had,” and she was spot on. Moist, great flavors, and quality. We requested it plain with piping along the bottom and around the top. It was beautiful, and easily would serve 16 to 18 people. Lots of leftovers sent down the hill with a few happy 10-year-olds.

Cornerstone Bakery was absolutely amazing to work with! It was important for us to find a bakery that could accommodate gluten and dairy allergies, and they truly overdelivered. Our wedding cake and desserts were completely gluten and dairy free — and they were phenomenal! All of our guests were raving about them for days and kept asking for the recipes.
Leading up to the wedding, I had such a great experience working with Savannah. She perfectly captured my vision for our wedding cake and made the entire process easy and enjoyable. Everything looked stunning and tasted even better.

Friendly staff, and parking is plenty. They recently added more parking across the street.
Cute vibes inside, delicious pastries. One of our favorites is the chocolate bread pudding. I believe they serve it Sundays. Definitely a wonderful pitstop if you are traveling down 80.

Found a gem of a bakery in my old home town! Beautiful selection of pastries – scones and croissants were amazing. And the coffee as well. Great vibes and a friendly staff make it one of the best bakeries in Truckee. If you are just passing through it’s not that far off the freeway either. Definitely will be back whenever I’m back in town.

We ordered a wedding cake and an assortment of small bite desserts for a dessert bar at our daughter’s wedding last weekend. Everything was delicious. The cake was decorated with real flowers and tasted amazing. The dessert bar was colorful and fun. Cornerstone even delivered everything to the venue in Truckee. Highly recommended!

Cornerstone…what happened to you?
Folks…This is not the same great local boutique breakfast / coffee shop I remember from 2 and 3 years ago. It appears to be under new management. So maybe they need some time to get it right?
I added a photo of my “flat white” which was dead flat…I don’t even think the big global coffee chain will do such a bad job of it. They were nice enough to refund me for it but…I drink one cup of Joe per day…and it needs to be good.
The double bacon breakfast sandwich was good enough but definitely not worth $20. And the pastries are also not as good. Similar but I feel like inferior ingredients are being used
There are many other great breakfast spots in Truckee that are just as expensive but better.

Omg just stopped by after a bike ride and cloud sushi and so glad I did. The vanilla bean pull apart I just consumed was next level tasty. Well done Cornerstone! Also Hillary at the counter is just so nice and sweet.
