Nice little place to stop and have a bite. We stopped in and had breakfast. The food was good. Not great, but good. From what we could tell, they still have a few kinks to work out with their service, but it’s well on it’s way. Only complaint I had was the sweet tea wasn’t very good, but that’s a personal preference. Stop in and give it a try.

This was my first time eating at this place. I had heard it was good from friends so I visited it yesterday. The atmosphere was great! The food was excellent and there was a ton of options for sides with your meal. I’ve seen a reviewer to that said the help left something to be desired but that was not the case on my visit. Everyone was nice and I even got to have a conversation with the owner. I will be returning on a regular basis to The view!

This is a decent café. The food is good and the prices are a good value for what you receive. The view of pilot mountain was nice. The only thing that frustrated me was how long we had to wait for the check to pay and leave. I waited for a while then tried to pay with the QR code on the table but I think that only works if you’ve ordered from the QR code because I couldn’t find a way to pay so I waited a little while longer. Then our server sat down with a new hire, I am assuming to go over things with them. I got tired of waiting so I went to the counter to pay and had to tell them which ticket was ours. Other then that it was good and the biscuit was nice. I would like to maybe see jelly available with the butter in the morning to go with breakfast biscuits. And it would have been nice if our server checked on us or gave us the check before sitting down.

It’s very rare I decide to leave a bad review for a restaurant but my first experience here wasn’t great. It looks like they opened for dinner recently so I decided to try it out. To start, it definitely has family owned restaurant vibes which is not bad. There are flies everywhere but mostly on the windows. My burger was alright but the wings were incredibly crunchy and borderline inedible. We brought it up to our server who said it was “Not on her” but she would check with the cooks. She then chatted with the owner who came over to us to explain that’s how fried wings were and maybe we were wrong for thinking it would be like baked wings (which their menu doesn’t say fried wings anyway). We’ve had fried wings and they certainly aren’t supposed to be that crunchy. It felt like I was eating bones. The owner did take it off the ticket but there were no apologies issued and it didn’t feel like they cared. The employees and the owner have an customer service problem and unfortunately, it’s tainted my experience enough to not make me wanna go back.
Edit: Being a small business doesn’t excuse your poor customer service. We are not the only people complaining about it here in your reviews and I think that should be a wake up call to you.

I promise i’m not trying to be rude, more so maybe helpful! Yesterday my family of 4 called in an order for pick up. 3 of the 12oz burgers and different sides, one order of chicken tenders with cheese sticks. The cheese sticks were really good! But the chicken really didn’t have any flavor and was a little bit mushy..all 3 of our burgers, as thick as the meat is, because the patties and burgers were huge! But every burger was burnt to the point we couldn’t really eat them. I just pulled off the top layer all around the meat and it was okay but none of us finished them. We paid $70 and it just wasn’t as expected 🙁 We (mostly me) did not want to come cause any type of scene about it, it was just disappointing for the price especially. I work in customer service so I completely understand people being ridiculous over stuff, and who knows maybe it was just an off day! The restaurant itself looked very clean, welcoming and cozy. The woman we picked our food up from (unfortunately don’t know her name) was also extremely nice and welcoming!

THE View Cafe has THE best breakfast.. I rarely come across corned beef hash that isn’t the canned kind and it was amazing! The omelette was huge and had sooo many fillings to choose from. Not only that, but the pancakes are THICK and fluffy & the signature coffees are better than Starbucks… I’m pretty sure breakfast is until 1pm if I am not mistaken, but the prices are great and so is the quality!!

I ordered some wings and fries as a side as well as fried pickles as an appetizer. We waited for 20 some minutes and my main course came first and then the fried pickles. That was the first thing that I thought was kind of annoying. Our utensils came in a plastic baggy and they were still wet from being washed which is just gross. There were also a ton of flies in the building. Ew. The fried pickles were soggy but I didn’t mind much I still ate them and the fries were actually pretty good, however my wings were incredibly crunchy. I basically couldn’t eat them so I told the waitress . The waitress then brought over the owner who I then also told him about the wings. He responded with “They are fried wings not baked so they are supposed to be like that” so I told him again that they were too hard and basically inedible. And he responds with “they’re supposed to be like that but I can take them off the ticket” so I got no apology but still taken off my ticket at least. I usually never complain about food like this but when I am genuinely unable to eat the food I feel the need to say something. This response from the owner was unacceptable and I saw many reviews with the same issue of poor customer service. Please do not go here it is not a good place to eat.

The View is a good restaurant..I tried the Saturday buffet .It was good..It’s more cafeteria style than buffet .Overall it was good..Tried the dinner buffet..The Ribs were good..Cabbage cooked the good old fashioned way..Southern Iced Tea..I recommend..Check for hours..☆Once again the breakfast buffet is first rate..

The first time we went for lunch the food was good, so we went for breakfast the a couple days later. We got our food take home and my wife ordered the breakfast bowl, she got about half way through it and found a beetle cooked into the eggs. Needless to say we won’t be back.
