Little mom and pop shop nestled in University Ave. Palo Alto…
My son was fasting for some necessary lab work that morning and craving something salty, tasty and satisfying for afterwards.
We Yelped breakfast foods nearby and first thing that popped up was……
New York New York Sandwiches.
A hop, skip and jump from Stanford Hospital.
NY NY Sandwiches was on point!
Two bagel sandwiches, a burrito with some incredible Sun Dried Tomatoes included., and two espressos later… We’re on cloud 9!
Highly recommended!

Always a friendly attitude and swift service. New York bagels has been satisfying locals for over 15 years and hopefully many more years to come.

The bagel was not my favorite, I don’t think it was fresh, and also just way overpriced. The board says 4.75 for a bagel+cream cheese but ended up paying 6.30 ? Odd little store i would say.. but the owner is super friendly!

First time going here, we absolutely loved it!!! The bagels/ cream cheeses are so good. The shop owner is the nicest man, he hand makes everything right in front of you. I got the turkey, jalapeño cream cheese and cucumber sandwich on a garlic bagel and my fiancé got the chicken BLT. Huge slides of meat on both sandwiches, and on the BLT, the avocado was free!! We will definitely come back!!

I don’t know if I can accurately describe just exactly how delicious this roast beef sandwich which I’m eating right now, is. I’ve always been a person to put as much as I possibly can on everything, but this doesn’t need anything else. This sandwich, plus the sauce, is not only perfect size, but it was perfectly made by the nicest guy working the front counter. He made sure to ask me how I was doing, and just had a very positive or about him. I wish I lived closer so I could come here more often!

One of the true tests of a business is its relationship with the community. Who are the people that come in regularly and how do you treat them? This place treats them like family. While I was there, multiple people came in and the chef knew their names and what they wanted. You could tell he truly appreciated their business.
Now, onto the food: it’s great. I came here at the recommendation of a friend that they had great breakfast sandwiches and I was blown away. Everything is cooked to order right in front of you and you can taste it. My egg sausage and cheese bagel was hands down the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had.
