We came for Sunday lunch, and this place had the longest line—probably due to the variety of food options.
Food arrived quickly. The portions were fair, but the food was slightly cold. The meat was sweeter than expected, which might not suit everyone’s taste. Overall, it was decent but could be improved.

i got spicy seafood soft tofu stew and it was so good! it was really hot and spicy, and the seafood tasted yummy and fresh. it comes with an egg that you crack into the hot stew, and it also comes with banchan, seaweed, & rice. i didn’t have to wait for too long to get my order and the service was great!

Tried the hot stone chicken and it was pretty good. Food was not spicy. The restaurant was crowded, so food took a while to arrive. You order at the counter and pick up the food to bring it to the table when it’s ready. There is a seating area shared between other restaurants inside H Mart for customers who dine in.

I’m writing this so you can save yourself $18. Honestly, this was the worst kimchi jjigae I’ve ever had. I put the tray right back on the return rack — that should say enough. For context, I was born and raised in Korea for 20 years before moving to the US, so I missed authentic Korean food. That’s why I decided to try the kimchi jjigae, one of the most classic dishes after shopping at H-mart. But this was just disappointing. All I could taste was maybe 10% kimchi flavor, and then just a generic spicy sourness. It had no real depth or richness. I might give this place another try and order something else, but the kimchi jjigae was a total miss.

I tried the soondubu jjigae but it was super peppery, and definitely not what I expected. Would not order any tofu soup from here. My friend tried the spicy chicken, which came on a hot stone plate, and liked it though.

We ordered the bulgogi and japchae as well as the kimchi fried rice!! All was good like san maru! Japchae tasted a little salty for me but thats just my opinion. I had to wait like 30 minutes for the bulgogi and japchae, i think they forgot about it but not a big deal since it was really busy.

I had high hopes for this joint. But I was so disappointed at the first bite. The food is mediocre and overpriced for the quality. Everything we ordered (Dduk guk, beef soonduboo + galbi) were too salty, heavy on MSG and not what they should taste like. Instant, ready-to-eat would have tasted better than this joint. If you are seeking an authentic korean food experience, this isn’t the place.

Absolutely my favorite of the 3 restaurants in Hmart. Really good authentic Korean food. Super big portions that can be shared. I’ve eaten here atleast twice a week since it’s opened and I will continue to be a happy and full customer for many more to come.
