Overall, food was good. My quiche was cooked more than I like (dark top and crust), but the filling was tasty. We took pie home and it was delicious. Our group enjoyed their food and we’ll be back.

It wasn’t good. The lady who took our order wasn’t very friendly at all. She may have been having a bad day. I asked for a starry as my drink, and instead of telling me they were out in their machine, she rang it up anyways. The beef pot pie was wonderful. But the pie was dry and flavorless. I got apple my husband got blueberry, we both should have passed on dessert. Which is bad if that’s what you are famous for. Since this was our first time eating there, I dont think it will be a repeat visit for either of us.

I’m so super disappointed after wanting to try this place for the longest time, hearing that their pies are the best ever. I signed up for their rewards program and received a $15 voucher to spend for my birthday. I decided to purchase a whole cherry pie (which wasn’t free, I put money with it) I placed the order online. The specific day I ordered was free slice of pie day with any purchase. When I went inside the pick up my order there were so many items that weren’t available on the online menu! The lady in front of me purchased a small individual pie and the cashier offered her and gave her her free slice. When I was waited on next she handed me my pie and never offered me my free slice. I was very offended because I just watched you offer the person in front of me a free slice but you don’t offer it to me? Very rude! Now the pie itself was a complete disappointment! I’ve had Marie Calenders pies that were better than this for $6! This pie was $23! It was so overcooked that the filling was burnt to the foil pan which made cutting pieces impossible, it just broke up and crumbled into mush because the entire filling and crust were burnt into the pan! As for the flavor the cherries were extremely sour, not sweet at all. It was mediocre at best. I got this pie to enjoy with my family on my birthday and sadly we had to throw most of it out. When you charge $23 for one pie you can’t give people burnt and ruined pies! You also need to train your staff to offer the free piece of pie to everyone, and not pick and chose who they want to extend the offer to when I literally got an email advertising this promotion! This was my first and last experience with this place. What a shame as I am a pie lover and thought I found a hidden gem, sadly I was wrong

I went here this evening to get me some soup and a sandwich and the young lady at the register was VERY rude. I was placing a order for pie and never got my pie. She was also very rude with how she handed me my change. I should have immediately asked to speak to a manager. She should NOT be working the register if she does not know how to be nice to every customer. Also she needs to explain how the slices or pies come if the customer is unaware. Love the food but the service received today was less than stellar.

Pie may be in the name of Grand Traverse Pie Company – and it’s good – but it’s more than that.
Grand Traverse Pie Company got it’s start in the late 1990’s in Traverse City. Since then it’s grown to 15 locations throughout the Mitten State.
They’re a fast casual style restaurant – where you order at the kiosk then take your time eating.
The menu features a variety of pies – I highly recommend crumble cherry – but also plenty of comfort food. Soups, sandwiches, salads, and quiches.
I won’t pretend to understand how a business operates, but one downfall is portions v. price can seem a bit steep, but the quality of food is divine.
Overall for food quality and options, but a reflection of price, I give Grand Traverse Pie Company four stars out of five. Worth a trip.

I prefer this place to Panera but don’t have one close to my home. Everything I have tried was wonderful. My go to is the chose 2 that you get half salad or sandwich or cup of soup. I love the Hudson Maurice and lobster bisque. The half of salad makes a meal for me. Only problem I have is the small cups and Pepsi products. I took a star off for that. Wish they would open more locations nearer to Detroit or the older ring suburbs.

Came here today to treat my mom to birthday lunch. Food was fine and we enjoyed ourselves. The presentation of food has gone downhill. I got the French dip and didn’t recognize it at the pick up window because it is placed on a plate with a paper dip cup and bag of chips on tray. It used to have more of an appetizing presentation, but now looks like a fast food delivery. I wish I would have taken a picture of it to show. My mom and I both got mini pies to go. I got a chocolate cream pie. I don’t know what the heck went wrong with this pie, but whoever made it does not know what they are doing! I am a scratch baker and this pie is garbage. It has uncooked crust on rhe bottom. The filling is condensed and pulling away from the crust. Did you add too little cream/milk? Did you also add the flour or corn starch when the milk was warm, instead of cold, because there are little flour chunks in the filling. Just a sad, sad pie from a company I have been coming to for years and prides themselves on pie.

Its all right… the place looks nice and they do a good job when it comes to presentation of the pie selection but they just dont have a “wow” taste… my pot pie was good though and the sandwich that my sister got was okay after i put my side on coleslaw in it. The workers are nice.

The prices for the quality of food is horrible. $16 to have a few slices of pre-sliced deli meat heated up and pit on some toasted bread…do better. As for the pies and desserts, the quality has dropped significantly in the past year or 2. I forsee another chain restaurant that’s going to close up soon. Don’t bother getting anything from here.
