I grew up on Saxon drive and also grew up with this restaurant it used to be THE BEST Chinese restaurant in Volusia that was twenty years ago. Now I moved back home and they are awful . The first time the rice was hard as a rock and the orange chicken was so gross I couldn’t eat it so I thought well I got it close to closing time maybe it was a fluke. So I tried the second time for lunch got the same meal and I swear GROSS gross gross!!! So sad that I cannot enjoy what used to be the best Chinese around they really have taken a turn for the worst. It saddens me greatly ! They need to fire the chef and get some fresh food in there !

China Restaurant has a name that is pretty much self explanatory. They make delicious Chinese food that can be eaten in, or taken out. There really isn’t any atmosphere to the place, and the only reason to eat inside would be if you didn’t have any place else you could eat. With that said, the food is really good! We tried the Hunan chicken, mixed vegetables and pork fried rice. We liked it so much that we came back a few days later for more of the Hunan chicken and pork fried rice.
The portions at China Restaurant are large, fresh and flavorful. It is rare that my family has leftovers from Chinese food, but we had a good size serving remaining after we were all stuffed. We have a few restaurants that we absolutely must eat at on every visit to NSB, and this has become one of them.

I was introduced to this place when I first moved here somewhere around two thousand… It was an instant hit arguably, the best Chinese food I’ve ever eaten anywhere. It’s pretty nondescript and not much to look at. However, the food is fantastic in the pricing. Is reasonable. My singular complaint is they used to have a house ducks sauce, that they made there. You had to ask for it to get some. They no longer make it, and that hurts. Still, I seldom go anywhere else. And everyone that I turned on to it is thankful that I have. Also, it’s a family-run establishment and I’ve watched their kids grow up over these last 20-some-odd years. In fact, the two young ladies who waited on me this last time might even be the proprietor’s grandchildren at this point. If you enjoy Chinese food and you are here even just for the day I challenge you to eat at China and tell me you’ve had better elsewhere!

We ordered Door Dash from you. General Tso’s Chicken. There was grit in the order. There was no Broccoli. We threw it out. The egg rolls were sour. The soup was cold and disgusting. So our entire order went into the garbage. We will not be ordering from you ever again.

Great food great people good portions. I just wish they would clean the windows and make the place clean. If you don’t know better you would think it could be a health violation very dirty, very dark ceiling tiles coming down.
I think the landlord could step in and help this family with their restaurant. I’m sure they pay their rent, and this place needs up keeping

Dropped by in the afternoon. Food is excellent and the portions are good. I had the beef and broccoli, the beef was tender, broccoli perfectly cooked and the sauce was done well. We also had the Singapore noodle, it was tasty and prepared very well.
Service was very friendly and we look forward to coming back.
