Nestled in a quirky building is a family kitchen. A warm, cozy, quaint environment to enjoy “best coffee in town”.
LeeAnn greeted us with charm and smiles on our lunch adventure. She held down mostly solo a bustling rush of people. Barista and waitress.
For its size, the kitchen surprisingly offered breakfast all day and lunch offerings with rotational ‘specials’. It was suggested the local secret was choose from that for the best deals.
Seating is very casual, pillowed bench + chairs, “bar” and some outdoor seating.
We enjoyed large portion quesadillas, (kids shared), Cuban Sandwiches and ‘Weat Tampa’s salad. Sodas are always carte.
We’d go back, LeeAnn and kitchen staff hospitality largely drawing us in. They said call ahead and pick up also is honored.

Los Gringos Cafe has to have one of the friendliest staffs in all of Tampa. Super Mario, the lively barista, seems to know every customer by name and usually has their order ready before they even ask. The place has a welcoming atmosphere with a strong crowd of regulars who gather there often, giving it a true neighborhood feel. The Cuban coffee is amazing, and the food is pretty good too. ☕️

I first have to compliment the young woman who served us. She was a huge asset.
I had the Cuban sandwich and my wife had the Cuban chimichanga. Both were incredible. The mojo pork in my sandwich was glorious. The bread was exactly as it should be, the foundation of a great sandwich. A great Cuban sandwich by my non Cuban estimation. Also, my wife said the coffee was fabulous.
I don’t know if I’ll come back to Tampa, but if I do, I will return for another meal at Los Gringos.

I’m a traditionalist when it comes to a Cuban sandwich. I decided to venture out and try the Cuban Chimichanga. Light, flaky crust stuffed with the perfect Cuban sandwich ingredients. Overall Amazing!!
My review is not just based on the food. As a service industry professional myself with many years of experience, watching Mario handle the crowd with grace, all while handling the phones at the same time, was absolutely a lesson in hospitality!! He is an Artist!!

Time to change your plastic cups, they are chipping and plastic is falling into the drinks, all cups have a visible white rim that flakes with light touch. Food was ok, atmosphere great if you are extroverted and want to talk.

ordered DEVIL CRAB BY JESUS… it was heavenly. CUBAN SANDWICH was the BEST I’ve had. Pasta salad and HAM CROCKETTS. and of course, the fresh and perfectly made CAFE CON LECHE. we are full. Satisfied and going home with extras. And DEFINITELY COMING BACK.

Such a neighborhood-friendly vibe, the owner introduced himself to us! All items on the menu are named after someone that I am pretty sure the owners know by name! Definitely recommend this place plus the avocado toast was the prettiest and tastiest on the planet!
