Fantastic little hole in the wall Asian restaurant. The chicken pho was delicious. Plenty of garnishes of Thai basil, cilantro, and bean sprouts. Chili paste, hoison, and Sriracha made the perfect spiciness that it deserved. The smell coming from the bowl was heavenly and filled with anise, cinnamon, and pepper. The chicken breast was perfectly cooked with the exact amount of tenderness needed for that great mouth feel.
Staff was friendly, bathroom was clean, fllora wee kept up well. Ambiance is casual and quaint with a nice couch while waiting to be seated.

Went in for dinner with family and was seated fast. Drink and food orders were taken we were serving rather quickly. They were able accommodate my food allergy’s. I have Alph Gal Syndrome and the staff were very understanding and prepared my food accordingly. The food was delicious. Thanks everyone

We stopped here for dinner this weekend! Everything we ordered was freshly made and super delicious! The portions are great and the food is made with fresh ingredients! Everything we tried we loved it. We definitely recommend this place if you are in this area. The sticky mango dessert was delicious; one of the best I have tried! I loved the spicy basil fried rice with shrimps. It was delicious! Thank you for a wonderful dinner experience!

My wife and had lunch at Mai Phi Authentic Asian Restaurant in Southern Pines yesterday. Service was very good and the meals were served freshly cooked. We ordered the crispy basil chicken and the salmon teriyaki. Both meals serve with steamed rice. The crispy basil chicken was crispy on outside and moist on inside. It was also enough for two people, I ended up taking home a leg. I took photos just after we started eating.

I gave a two star due to the server’s behavior. I will say the food is excellent but the service is less to be desired. The server (Astrid, name on receipt) seemed irritated and bother when I first came into the the establishment and asked, “can I help you?” I said I want a table for 1 and I am dining in. She said you can sit at any table over there. From start to finish, she was very short, condescending, and wanted to get back to where she came from, when I first entered. The food was very tasty and enjoyable. When I was done with my meal and as I was placing the utensils down, she came immediately with the check and asked how was the food and I said “it was good” and was going to give my review, she dropped the receipt and walked away. I observed her with the other table and she seem to be polite with them. We were the only two tables being served at the time. I waited for her to come back, and asked her if the establishment still give military discounts, and before I could finish my statement, she said “yes we do, but I need to see it first”. I showed her and her facial expression changed and said “oh, I’ll get it changed.” The last two servers i had here, never asked to see the id but I showed them anyway. I’ve been to this location a couple times and never had this type of short condescending behavior from other servers. As I was writing this review, she was actually asked the other table, “would you like for me to bring the check?” I’ll come back other day and see if this is an one off and if it’s not, I will leave another review with my recommendations.

A wonderful dining experience for Mother’s Day. The food was made fresh and if you like spicy food then this is your place. All the food was made to the correct spice level but for the extra spice just ask for the spice rack and there you will find the extra heat you are looking for. We had the best server I have had in a long time but at the same time the other server there was serving at the same level. This place deserves an award for its food and service but the best I can do is give them as many stars as possible. Please help this business continue to grow by giving them their 5 stars.

We walked in and placed our order, and since it was our first time there, the waiters were so kind in helping us figure out what was spicy or not. We ordered the drunken noodles, spring rolls, chicken teriyaki, yellow curry, pad thai, and spicy basil fried rice. It was all so delicious! I would come back again!

Don’t let the building it’s housed in stop you from trying this place out! The restaurant itself is incredibly clean and well decorated!
The vibe? 10/10.
The service? 10/10. Staff are incredibly friendly;
The food? 15/10!!!! I cannot recommend the Tom Yum Noodle soup enough! I stopped mid meal to type this up. My compatriot ordered the Thai Street Noodle Soup and he loved it!

The spring rolls were the best we’ve had, the crab rangoon was great, as were the Tom kha soup, the massaman curry, and the salad. We will be back when we’re in town again. Astrid was a great server!
