12/20/25 My husband and I pulled into the parking lot to grab dinner and a gift certificate it was 7:26 pm. An employee ran to the doors locking them so we couldn’t get in. We went to the North Lima DQ instead and received excellent service.

We visited this evening at 8:27pm. Almost did not stop due to the street sign was off, the lights in the restaurant were off, and the drive through sign was off. We pulled through the drive through, decided to try and order. and were immediately greeted to take our order. My husband mentioned the store looked closed – “are you open” and the response was “yep, we close at 9pm”. Our order was taken fairly quickly. We were the only car in line, until we moved to the window. Another car pulled in behind us. The window interaction was another story. It took just under minutes to make and present a small blizzard with butterfinger and chocolate chunks, along with a chocolate dilly bar. The blizzard did not have any butterfinger or chocolate chunks. My husband asked for toppings to actually be added. The young man did honor the request and was respectful. It appeared the employee was digging for toppings, as if everything was put away. It was suggested to the young man that it appeared he and his coworker were attempting to deter customers with all the lights off and that is not good for business. The young man remained respectful. We drove off. We have had good service and good food at this store many times. The crew working tonight has been observed in the past as not being fond of being at work. Perhaps the two should not be scheduled together?

It’s good, but not nearly as good as it was when I was a kid. Quality of the food is definitely lower than it was back in the early 2000’s but still decent. Old DQ was 10/10 while modern is like 7/10. This drop in quality is not unique to DQ but fast food as a whole so I don’t fault them solely for that. I would much rather eat at DQ than McDonald’s/Wendy’s/Burger King so that should at least say something.
Buster Bars have definitely gotten smaller over the years it seems.

The Chocolate Ice Cream Cake is fantastic and I highly recommend it. Really, all their ice cream treats and such are very good. Especially for a fast food place.

Tried to order a four blizzards over the drive-thru. The girl on the other side of the microphone / speaker was having a hard time understanding me. My daughter who was telling me what to order didn’t help matters as she kept changing her mind mid-ordering. The handwritten sign stating chocolate ice cream is out until further notice also didn’t help, forcing changing of plans. The girl took my payment and handed me the receipt. I read it and saw issues, so I got their attention. She saw me but nudged a young man with long hair to come talk to me: it looked like she was done dealing with me, as she seemed super annoyed (I get it, not completely her fault). Guy goes over the receipt and we realize a couple of issues, both which he made it clear they were going to correct it (add mint to ice cream because it was not marked it was mint despite me saying that correctly over mic). Blizzard cups were very messy with ice cream. Guy was very good in apologizing about the confusion with ordering. I was gracious as well. Come home to find out there’s no mint, and they could’ve put choc syrup in vanilla to fake choc flavor but did not (wife said so, apparently she does that with them all the time, but it was not offered to us as an option). What annoys me was the fact nice guy said they were going to take care of order errors, but did not: don’t make a point of promising something then not come through.

The place has a very bad atmosphere. The employees seem exhausted in dealing with an order with such little traffic (at the times I went there, anyway).
The food was very subpar from the other locations I have had. Very dry. Very underwhelming. Felt more like it was cooked to “get outta here” perfection I guess.
The employees behind the counter you could tell was just there for a paycheck.
I wouldn’t say to not go there entirely, but I would say there needs to be more supervision on what’s happening in doors before it’s the next place that turns into another Dollar General.

I know this is over ranch but I payed 79 cents for ranch, I did not get my ranch. The problem is we went to the window and asked the guy for ranch and he said yes but it would have to be payed for and we said okay. My receipt says I payed for it and I did not get it. He was standing right there when we asked him.

Order a frozen hot chocolate. Was handed a plain VANILLA milkshake. way to irritated to turn around once i left. will NEVER be going here again. This is not what i asked for or ordered. The absolute worst ….the older lady needs to go she has zero manners, and young kids are brainless, over-filled my blizzard and didn’t not give me a “to go” lid, and it’s 85° outside, by the time I got home I had ice cream all over my clothes, truck, and floors…it wasn’t even ice cream, more like vanilla soup

Disappointed in this location. The service here used to be really good. Now it’s ridiculously slow. Went inside instead of the drive through. Store was dirty and the employees were too! Fifteen minutes for some chicken strips. Sad.
