Visiting from another state to see family in Salem. Saw this place and you know what they say, mom and pop shops always have the best food. This place is no exception! Food was amazing. People are beyond friendly. Felt like I was a part of the family. Portions blew my mind. My eyes were bigger than my stomach. Come hungry!

I need to start out by saying I had avoided this place with the previous owners as they only did cheesesteakes never an option for a chicken one but I understood, do what you know. I gave in when my husband said they have new owners, a sausage sandwich and they’ve remodeled. I don’t know what I was thinkng I’ve wasted years not going…. omgosh AMAZING!! Their sauce is incredible, bread perfect, chewy, fresh and soft inside, great flavor of the sausage. I wanted the small but my husband convinced me into the large, YES we could have been content with the small but we split a large and I are every bite of my half. Stuffed but oh so happy! Great food, definitely recommend! Only outdoor tables so be prepared if weather isn’t great or take home and enjoy. The staff is so nice, work hard and make great food!

I can’t say enough good things about this place! From the moment you walk in, you can tell it’s a true mom-and-pop shop — friendly faces behind the counter, and that personal touch you just don’t get at big chains.
The subs are absolutely delicious — generous portions, and made exactly how you like it. You can really taste the care they put into everything. I got the Cuban, and it was hands-down one of the best I’ve ever had.
What really stands out, though, is the service. The owner and staff treat you like family. It’s the kind of local spot that makes you proud to support small business.
If you haven’t tried Seagraves’s Sub Shop yet, you’re missing out. Five stars all the way!

Met the new owners and had a nice conversation about people and food. Got a whole Cheesteak sandwich for two of us. I got mine with everything. I tried my best to eat a quarter of the sandwich. I was not successful. It was a great treat on a blustery day. Going back to give everything else a try.

Man, oh man! Am I glad we passed this place today. My dad and I were just taking a drive around. He was showing me some old historical sites in Jersey, and he said “oh wait before we go home you have to try this place.”
So we pulled up to a little shack on the corner of the road, kind of in the middle of nowhere lol. I asked him what we were doing here, and he told me they have some of the best cheesesteaks in New Jersey. And let me tell you… He was not wrong! I cannot believe I did didn’t know about this place! But I’ll say one thing… I’m telling everyone I know. Just an out of the park delicious cheesesteak. They offer a lot more things, but this is what we got for the day. Just a regular cheesecake with American cheese, fried onions, and some marinara sauce. And they were really quick with the order! Great service! You absolutely have to try it.

That being said sometimes less is more.
This place could benefit from decreasing the size of their sandwiches. Its almost too much.
Cheese steak was good, but if you’re used to a real philly cheese steak or a Atlantic City style cheese steak hoagie you’ll be a little disappointed.
I did like how they actually chop the “hot peppers” but to me when I order hot peppers I want the hot pepper relish spread, not banana peppers.

I’ve enjoyed the subs and steak sandwiches for many years and was wondering if the steak sandwiches had changed. I called and ordered a small cheesesteak sandwich, with fried onions, and sauce. I picked it up and it seemed the same, but when I tasted it, I found the sauce had a raw tomato taste to it. I was very disappointed. I spoke to three other friends who told me the same thing.
Maybe they should call Ronny for help. Until then Seagraves is off my list I’m sorry to say.

Very good sub! I had “small” regular no onions and it was delicious!
I put “small” because I had lunch and dinner from half of that “small suv” and my husband had the other half! So good and the couple who make them were super kind!
