Visited Prima last night and was pleasantly surprised- their homemade pasta hit the spot. Service was good- and they have a unique selection of items on their menu mixed with some expected classics. Pricing is about average for the area. We got the table side Carbonara – I loved the sauce! Had the Parmesan Fondue as well- very good! The bread which is also handmade is probably the best I’ve had in quite some time- we plan to go back as they had many other items we want to try. I can check off the Chicken Limone- done very well- serving size was great- and the flavors were wonderful. Highly recommend!

I will preface this review by saying since they just reopened I will be giving them another shot, and I loved everything we got except my entree. Our server was amazing and service was decently fast but slowed down toward the end of our lunch. The bread they served we absolutely loved, I swear we would go back just for the bread! The mozzarella sticks were also very good. My one critique was the spaghetti carbonara. While I am grateful they had a more traditional Italian carbonara the way they served it did not really work. It had way too much pasta water in the skillet, and they mixed the egg yolk directly into the pasta instead of mixing it with the cheese on the side before adding it in. This resulted in a very watery runny sauce instead of it being creamy like it’s supposed to be. This is why you mix it on the side, and only add hot pasta water as needed until it gets the right consistency. The pancetta was perfect though. If they could alter the preparation and make it the more traditional way, then I feel this dish could be amazing and has such potential.

Food was incredible. The bruschetta was delicious and an amazing deal. The parmesan fondue was addictive. Shrimp boats chicken parm was already good but this is better. All of the bread we had was fresh a paired well with the food they were served with.

Thought we were going to Shrimp boat and unfortunately it was Prima ,I got snapper oreganato and after 1 bite sent it back, looked like it came out of a microwave no grill marks no crust and covered in some thick paste that had no trace of oreganato ,dry and no flavor from the fish ..my wife got stuffed flounder and didn’t get sick till we got home asked her why she didn’t send it back said she didn’t want to complain but the flounder smelled fishy. The waitress was short with us and the drinks seemed watered down. Big disappointment and waste of money, we loved the place when it was Shrimp boat, the women who seated us said it was the same owner but I find that difficult to believe, terrible and the bread looked like hot dog buns ,disgusting

They’ve got a ways to go. The food is pretty fairly priced compared to other restaurants in the area, and the pasta itself was good. The service was a bit clumsy, and the food got sickly after a bit. Cocktail wasn’t really drinkable, tasted like I was drinking perfume.

Disappointed. We Tried the spaghetti with marinara, chicken Marsala, and fettuccine Alfredo. Only the Marsala was (barely) edible. We Sent the other 2 dishes back. All 3 dishes had way too much sauce, more like soup. Couldn’t even see the chicken, there was so much sauce. Pasta was sticky. Dining room layout is also too tight, tables very close together.

I had the Snapper Oreganata. Somehow they found a way to screw up a beautiful Snapper fillet by topping it with a thick layer of pesto and then over cooked it. All I could taste was the pesto. I won’t complain about the long wait for our food because it was Valentines Day. No, I can’t make myself go back 🙁
