We were so glad we stumbled across Good People Lounge because a time was definitely had!
The owner showed incredible hospitality while my family and I celebrated my mother’s birthday, and his nephew CJ even serenaded us with an original song, which made the night extra special. ❤️ A great mix of new and old-school R&B, an intimate, chill patio, and amazing vibes all around.
Shout-out to Kendra’s Kitchen next door for delivering our food (the catfish plate was ). Great music, drinks, and good people. We can’t wait to go back.

This is a great lounge. They truly enjoy for there customers to be happy. TRICIA the bartender showed me both up stairs, down stairs and the hug outdoor smoking area. Omg how have I not heard about this amazing black owned business. To have something so good for so many genres and generations is a blessing. This place is a vibe. I enjoyed the welcoming vibe and music. The owner enjoys his music. There’s a place for everyone. There’s a huge patio for the smokers. A pool area and bar downstairs. Upon walking in is the music, where you can dance and sing along. Trish and Raz was amazing. There’s spoke on Saturdays. Get there before the crowd on Friday before 10pm and the DJ. Oh they also have hookah but We arrived earlier in the evening. I will be returning.

This place is not worth your time. For one it’s small. If there’s too many people in there you cannot move. It doesn’t matter that there is an upstairs, a downstairs, and a small patio area…it is still too small due to the awkward layout. For two it’s raggedy. It’s not upscale, it doesn’t have nice decor or anything else. For three the drinks are watered all the way down and the price is jacked up. I ordered a liquor that I drink all the time straight up and it tasted so watered down and funny I didn’t even drink it. Lastly, I had been warned not to go in there because no one is ever there and the owner has a nasty attitude. I wanted to see for myself because I like to support black businesses. Well, sad to say, they were right. The owners attitude is terrible and disgusting. There is nothing about this place that would make me return AT ALL nor would I ever recommend this place to anyone.

I never leave reviews but this place deserves every star I could give it. A group of about seven of us were looking for a place to sing karaoke. We were celebrating my 50th birthday. Everyone…from the owner to the DJ to the other guests… made us all feel so welcome. The music was great and the drinks were strong. THANK YOU so much for being the highlight of my birthday outing!
