We had dinner tonight at a charming little sushi place in Columbia City, Indiana, and it exceeded our expectations! The restaurant was spacious with really nice decor that created a lovely atmosphere. Our server Susan was an absolute gem, attending to every party quickly and always with a smile on her face. The food was super fresh and tasted phenomenal, with the perfect amount of spice in every bite. Highly recommend this spot for a delightful dining experience!

This is simply an amazing new Japanese restaurant in the north east Indiana area. It is only 20 minutes away from Southwest Fort Wayne where I came from. I was surprised to find amazingly fresh cuisine. The chef that prepares the sushi clearly has the right training as he does not give you globs of rice, which iswhat you often find in restaurants with less skilled chefs. Overall, I will be back. This is a keeper.

For dinner, we chose to dine at a charming sushi restaurant in Columbia City, IN. The establishment presented a clean environment with excellent service. We sampled the sushi and a bento box, and found the food to be delicious with generous portions. We would certainly consider this venue for a future date night.

Now, this is an absolute gem of a place in downtown Columbia City! If you’ve been to Bimi Bistro in Fort Wayne, you’ll find much of the menu is nearly identical. However, Tokyo has a wide selection of sushi, the restaurant interior is larger, the vibe is magnified, and the portion sizes are larger. The tempura breading also has a tad more crunch and seasoning than Bimi Bistro (which we also love!). The service was also impeccable.
If you’re passing through CC, Tokyo Restaurant is a *must stop* location. I’d even say it’s worth the drive all by itself.

So yummy! I always get the lobster rangoons and crispy crab roll — everything I have had here tastes super fresh and the people are very friendly. Love having this in town.

The food here is really good , they could probably use a little more staff to assist as it did take some time. If you are not in a rush I highly recommend it.

Absolutely amazing food, and we applaud the presentation. We are from out of town, and this place was recommended by family who reside in Columbia City. The owners were great hosts, and we enjoyed every moment. We WILL be back next time we visit!

I really wanted to love this place. The decor from the street looks awesome. Once inside there was some box clutter and a peculiar smell. For a Saturday night they did not have much business. We ordered Happy roll, Tonkotsu ramen, and chicken hibachi. Soup and salad come with the hibachi chicken. The soup was miso and came out luke warm. The salad dressing had the consistency of apple sauce and was bland. The happy roll was gummy and the roll felt room temperature which was a little worrisome. The ramen came out slightly warm and needed help in the flavor department. The hibachi chicken was terrible. The chicken was dry and the mushrooms were not even cooked. The fried rice just tasted like white rice. The service was fine and everything came out quickly. I don’t believe we will be back because of poor food quality.

Tokyo is a restaurant that I am pleasantly surprised to see in a place like Columbia City. The rolls are very good and there are a large variety, plus their specials. They also have specialty drinks like different flavored iced teas and milk teas or ramune. This is the first restaurant I had takoyaki at and I didn’t think I’d like it because I’m iffy about octopus, but it was very tasty. I love the way they plate their rolls, too. And they are very always very kind and happy to help you.
