From all appearances Gregs is your typical neighborhood greasy spoon diner…the bathrooms need remodeling and the floors could stand to be refinished. Two saving graces made it a worthwhile stop. The staff is very friendly and willing to accommodate food preferences and the food was very good. The fried sweetpotatertots as well as the fried tomatoes were appropriately crunchy and not at all greasy.

10 out of 10 would recommend. If you are looking for great southern cooking, this is your spot. I had been craving fried green tomatoes, and wow, was that fixed here. If you haven’t tried it, you need to right away. Also, amazing staff who were attentive and friendly. Will be back. ❤️

I decided to update my review since it had been about 5 years. My husband & I dropped in last week. We decided on lunch (as I’m usually an all day breakfast person). The food was good but lacked the flavor I’d known from the past. Maybe, it was an off day. The waitress was an absolute doll. Very attentive, friendly & polite as well as helpful. The restaurant itself was cold and we sat as far back as we could because I remembered the last time I was there that it was also winter and was cold then as well. The place is very clean, it wasn’t crowded at all when we got there or as we left. It wasn’t as loud as I’d remembered in the past either. Prices are fair. Next time we plan to go down that way. I hope to stop by again. I’ll do breakfast next time
