Messers Franklin and Jones opened Court House Grounds on Christmas Eve 1998. Over the years we have re-invented, updated, and over hauled our business many times, looking for the best ways to improve ourselves, our shop and to better serve our customers. Our beautiful building on South Washington Street enhances any restaurant that it houses was built in 1882 by a Civil War veteran, James Beck. We are proud of the 22 years worth of stories that our business has contributed to Danville and to the Hendricks County community. Met a friend at 8:30am on a Thursday. It’s a grounded yet fantastically fancy atmosphere perfect for meeting a friend in jeans and a sweatshirt or a business client in professional wear. It’s a bit small inside, so I wouldn’t recommend more than a group of four. The food was thoughtfully presented and delicious!!!

My husband and I went there this past weekend for brunch and it was awesome!! The owners are so nice and the food was really good. Quaint atmosphere. Lots of choices of tea to choose from. We’ll definitely be making this one of our favorite places to dine.

This is a lovely little hidden gem in Danville, IN. The ambiance makes you want to put down your phone, engage in meaningful conversation while taking in the wonderful decor. The food is excellent and served on beautiful plates. The coffee is superb, the best I’ve ever had! The service is excellent and they will even tell you the history of the place! A must go, my only complaint is I wish I lived closer 🙂

Met my friend for coffee. Ended up having breakfast (spinach quiche and fruit) along with our chai. The chai was very smooth and flavorful. The quiche was very tasty also. .Presentation was excellent. We enjoyed our conversation and caught up on our lives.
The atmosphere is quaint and amazingly cozy. I look forward to trying out more items now that we have found this hidden gem in Danville!

I had the lox bagel and it was good, I prefer more salmon.

We decided to support our local eats today. We decided on Courthouse Grounds. It’s cute place with a lot character. I had the Spinach Quiche with fresh fruit cup. It was quite tasty and filling. My husband had the Hearty Egg Sandwich. It was egg, cheese and bacon on a croissant. It was also very good. My son had eggs and bacon and was also not disappointed. The staff was also very friendly. I recommend Courthouse.

Had an amazing experience here today. When we arrived, we had no idea you had to do reservations for the afternoon high tea. They still were more than willing to serve it to us. This was what my sister wanted for her 30th birthday, Thank you. Also for anyone who is looking to go for this, they charged us $15 each for: a Pot of tea to share, coffee bar/self-serve, a cucumber finger sandwich, a chicken salad cresant, a scone, a brownie, and a strawberry each. Everything tasted so fresh, and I can’t wait to return.

Cozy, warm and inviting. We love weekend breakfast here. From the moment you walk in you feel as though youre at a friends house. The owners are top notch in both hospitality and culinary skills. The coffee is delicious and the menu is simple but diverse at the same time. And the food is amazing in presentation and quality. Youre sure to enjoy the entire experience! What a treasure the county has hidden in this gem of an establishment!
