I’ve known this place for several years. At first I went there with my husband, then my daughter was born. My daughter grew up and asked me to write a review of her favorite restaurant. In short: Masala is my daughter’s favorite restaurant! She chats with the waiters who know her preferences by the glass for drinks. She loves their pilau rice. Over the years that we have known Masala, the level of food has remained at the highest level. Recently, the walls and furniture were updated, but the coziness remained. There is plenty of parking nearby, since there are not many residents around. Thank you for being there!

We have been going since years and enjoying there thali for lunch .
Checked menu online and it said Ava Monday to Friday but when we went there they told us it’s not available so we were disappointed and ordered from the ala carta .
Would be good to inform online too .

Really nice Indian restaurant just outside of La Cala de Mijas. The staff are friendly and the restaurant is clean, and has a very traditional Indian temple type of vibe, really cool. Popadoms ate brought out for you as you sit down, which is a cool addition. I had the chicken Corma which was really nice, my friend had the chicken madras and it was also delicious, quite spicy aswell. We both had a portion of rice and some beautiful authentic garlic naan bread. Highly recommend for a meal, is a bit more on the pricey side, but well worth it. I will 100% return in my next trip to Mijas.

This place is an absolute gem. The food, service and ambience is world class. We live nearby and do weekly take out or dine in. We even visited for new year and couldn’t have been made to feel more welcome. Value for money: 10/10. Service: 10/10 We travel the world and would never find a better Indian. ❤️

Baffled at the 5 star reviews on here that was the obvious lure when searching for Indian food. Chicken was old and dry. Both curries had a very strong taste of plastic, everything else was bland. Ate maybe 3 bites and 45 euros went in the bin.

We visited yesterday as a family of four and the restaurant looks nice. I’ll keep this short. I was unimpressed. The food was amazing, it really was delicious – in every way! The service however was terrible.
No urinal in use, this was taped off.
Nobody checked if the meal was OK
Nobody came to offer to refill drinks
The staff were very inattentive
No after dinner mints or hand wipes
We were going to buy a €100 voucher for friends but I know they’d say the same as me… delicious food, terrible service.
It’s not a cheap meal and the staff should focus more on the patrons. I counted at least 10 times the staff walked by, saw the drinks were empty and didn’t ask if they could get us another. Likewise, we waited ages at the table with closed menus, indicating we were ready to be served.
I won’t visit again. Very disappointed.

This place is very unique, authentic flavours, wide variety of choice when it comes to the mains, we tried lamb, fish and chicken and they were all sensational as well as beautiful views and very easy to access, parking nearby without any issues. Highly recommend.

The menu is extensive and rich with authentic North to South Indian flavors, all crafted with imported spices and halal options truly a culinary journey! The food was outstanding perfectly spiced, fresh, and expertly prepared. The tandoori dishes were great, and those curries were just divine—creamy, aromatic, and balanced. Service? Impeccable—attentive, friendly, and professional throughout. Overall a flawless experience—highly, highly recommended!
