I was pleasantly surprised with my lunch. The service was fast and with very fresh ingredients. They have an excellent selection of ingredients. My only criticism was that when the staff mixed my meal it lost its visual appeal. Tasted great but did
Not look as good. Maybe next time I’ll ask for mixing.

New place! New fav!! I decided to finally try this place out for dinner tonight. Since they close at 7pm I rushed here after working in reno. I made it just in time. The staff were super friendly, prices were decent and loads of toppings to choose from. I decided to make my own bowl. I did brown rice as my base, salmon and shrimp for my protein, yummy sauce and spicy mayo, green onions, seaweed salad, crab salad, and fried garlic!! It was spectacular! Poke beach just gained a new customer will be back soon!

I was looking forward to coming to this spot because I saw that they had other options for protein, rather than just raw fish. When we arrived, we saw that they had a super easy to read menu that brought you all the way through the steps of making your bowl. They had many options for your “base” which was nice. (You can see all the options and the full menu in the pictures I have attached). I ended up getting a rice base ( I would’ve gotten the brown rice, but it wasnt quite ready), with REAL crab protein with lots of spicy mayo. They had many toppings and sauces to choose from. All the ingredients looked and tasted fresh. They even closed the top of the ingredients when we had finished ordering.

You could make anything from a raw sushi bowl to a chicken rice bowl with no raw anything. The options are extremely versatile and would please the majority of the crowd. They cared about our opinions of what we might want to see next time. I look forward to their Iced Tea during our next visit!!

By the way the ladies that helped us were fantastic and friendly, I believe the one ladies name was Abi. Not afraid to discuss options with the customers, they were very kind!

This place is the bomb. Fresh, tasty tuna, salmon, shrimp, crab, greens, veggies, dressings, toppings and lots more. Lots of choices to build your bowl in either small, medium or large sizes at very reasonable prices. The owner, Josh Bainton, who is also the manager and head dishwasher is very nice and very friendly and made our first visit an awesome one. We will return. 10 out of 10.

Not enough sauce, not enough fish. $20 for two small scoops of fish is totally unreasonable. I can pay $15 in LA and get more fish than this.

People were nice enough, and ingredients seem to be high quality.

Friendly staff, food is great, reasonable price! Went here for a quick lunch as we have errands that shorten our lunchtime. Me and my sister were in and out in time.

This place also does sliders, but I wasn’t able to find a spot to leave the review for that so here I am. The sliders and fries are always amazing. It’s family owned and well worth the price for what you get, especially with how little good food places there are in Carson. They’re on DoorDash as Sliders Mini Burgers.
Much love to whoever owns the place and is in the kitchen! ❤️

UPDATED REVIEW SINCE THE REOPENING:
My family used to LOVE Poke Beach. Unfortunately, after they reopened from their remodel, it is nowhere near as good as it used to be. The staff before was friendly & helpful; The staff now is rude, unwelcoming & not helpful at all. When ordering our Poke bowls, the Latino male actually ignored 2 of our questions completely while looking right at us. The Latina female with glasses was rude also. I can not believe how this place used to be so great & one of our favorites to now we will NOT be coming back. The poke wasn’t nearly as tasty & the amounts given were far less than before. Also, the slider my daughter got was ridiculously over cooked (more like jerky).
We had been counting down the days for Poke Beach to open back up. Talk about a MAJOR disappointment.
Avoid this place: the food isn’t as good as it should be (especially for the price) & the staff is RUDE.

OLD REVIEW BEFORE THE REMODEL:
My husband, 2 daughters & I all got Poke bowls from here. The service was GREAT! Maddy was so nice & helpful. She knew so much about the menu & offered great suggestions. The menu offers more options than the place on Topsy which I was very happy about. My husband & I were happy with our orders. The bowls were huge & very tasty. Our daughters both got kid bowls, which we were happy they offered. Both kiddos loved their food too. The prices were about the same as other Poke places (a little high for us, but comparable to other Poke spots). We will definitely be back.

My husband and I went in there on October 3rd for dinner. We usually order 2 lava bowls with no shrimp. He’s allergic to shrimp. When they take out the shrimp, we usually replace it with salmon. This can’t and won’t be done anymore without charging for the salmon. They’re willing to take away but will not add without charging you. Not to mention that the signature bowls are no longer the same and their product and produce is the cheapest they could find. Read all the ingredients before ordering a bowl you use to order.
My husband asked the Hispanic lady, “Could you remake our lava bowls the way we use too?” She said no. Why not? If we are starting from scratch on a bowl anyway, why couldn’t she remake? This set him off, and we started to make our bowls from scratch while she sat in the lobby with family or friends. This was making him and I more mad. He said, “I know she knows how to make our bowls.” I understand if a company can’t or won’t do something, but there is a polite way of saying it. We made it through our order and paid $40.17 for the 2 bowls. Even though we tried our best to get the same bowl, it still wasn’t the same. This is just a bit sad .
We used to come one to two times a week, and I used to order 2 to 3 bowls at a time. Now I think we are going to go back to Pokedoke on Topsy. Since the remodel, the options have changed, prices on every item went up, and attitudes went to crap. I used to recommend this place to coworkers, and now I’m recommending that they go back to Pokedoke instead.
