First time diners and what a pleasant surprise. Atmosphere was warm and cozy albeit a bit loud. Service and attention to detail was outstanding. Jaden, our server, was friendly, knowledgeable, and paid close attention to our table. We ordered the traditional spaghetti and meatballs, which was good, but meatballs were a bit underwhelming due to under seasoning. The other entree was the lasagna, which was outstanding. Generous portions and very tasty. All in all it was a very nice visit and would certainly recommend.

Struck a bit of gold with this place. Did some research and asking around for a nice destination restaurant to try at least an hour outside of Nashville. Trying to avoid going anywhere near the city to avoid New Years Eve crowds and revelrie.

Hit the mark here. Delicious food! Great service. Wonderful atmosphere. All in the quaint downtown of Monterey, TN.

Superb service and gourmet Italian. Nice ambiance and they get crowded on a wait early somedays.. The flavor of the marsala is great, chicken parm is tender, crab cakes were unique with zucchini fries were delicious, and great bread too. This would be a very favorite if I lived here permanently. We’ll be sure to return every year.

After a day wandering around the area we stumbled upon this great Italian spot in the tiny town of Monterey. What a find. The host was friendly and conversational as we were seated and the server knew the menu and the specials. She checked on us frequently but unobtrusively; our glasses were never empty. The calamari was a perfect appetizer as was the premeal bread with dipping oil. The Ravioli was delicious and the pasta seemed very fresh. The Veal special rolled with ham, mozzarella and wilted spinach was exceptional. The portion sizes seemed well thought out and we were to full to try the dessert, but we’ll be back for that.

Had our anniversary dinner here and really enjoyed it! There was a 25-min wait, so we ate at the bar, great choice. It was our bartender’s first day, and service was great!

We shared the fried calamari! Which was delicious! I had the ravioli, my husband had the chicken parm, cooked just how he likes it, which is rare! As a Jersey girl…and Italian food lover, I was impressed. Good food, nice vibe!

Giving 3 stars for now because I like to try a place a couple more times before giving a final rating. We’ll definitely be back!

First timers and definitely not the last. Nice ambiance with aged brick walls and tastefully decorated. Classic Italian family style serving sizes, so unless you want two days of leftovers a couple can easily split a meal. Two couple can share two meals. We split our salad and it was huge (see pic). The Shirt Ribs were excellent and the Norcina was rich and full of flavor. After filling up on the salad we barely touched our meals. No worries…. We have enough for two meals. Highly recommended for the service, food and great ambiance.

This was an absolute treat. Monterey is currently improving their town, and this is a gem of restaurant. From the ambiance, service, and most importantly, the food. Our sever Kaylee was outstanding and knowledgeable on the menu items. She was one of the best waitresses we have had. She had the right amount of professionalism and personality that made my wife and my dinner night a most wonderful one. The food was out of bounds great. The owner has it going on with his establishment. We loved it and will definitely be back.

We visited this restaurant for my birthday last Thursday and were delightfully surprised. We arrived at 5:30 to a practically full restaurant but were able to get a table. The menu offering are enticing and the portions are large. We tried salmon with grilled veggies and veal scallopini with a side of pasta, both of which were excellent. I had a mint rose margarita, both pretty and tasty, and we shared a lusciously delicious tiramisu for dessert. We will definitely be back!!

Holy moly, I didn’t think I’d ever taste REAL Italian food again! We had given up on trying “Italian” (aside from delicious pizza at Marioochi’s) restaurants after being tainted by the military in Napoli years ago. It was all too Americanized here, not quite right, and too expensive for the trouble. When Sapori di Napoli opened last year I was cautiously optimistic that it might actually be decent when I saw the founder is from Napoli himself. This is by far the best Italian food outside the country itself. The pasta is done al dente and you can tell everything is made fresh there. They bring warm crusty bread with infused oil for dipping and it got me very excited for the rest of the food.

We started with the calamari and it’s so lightly breaded and crisp, the rings were not over cooked and had the perfect chew. The tomato sauce was nice and bright but really the squid was so good it didn’t need anything else on it.

I got the linguini alla pescatore s angelo, it had shrimp, clams, mussels, and calamari in a light oil tomato sauce. They were out of clams so they said they would put a little extra of everything else on it. Heavenly. The first bite took me right back. All the seafood was cooked perfect and juicy and sauce… it’s so simple but they pack it with flavor. Some kind of voodoo magic, I’m sure.

My husband got rigatoni salsiccia funghi which was simply packed with the sausage. It was so rich and the meat filled every bite. He thoroughly enjoyed it all. We were just sad that the busboy was so on his game, he saw us packing away our leftovers and swooped up our plates before we could greedily sop up every last morsel of sauce with the crusty bread

We ordered their fresh made tiramisu to go and it also was mind blowing. The prices are a bit steep, but we got 3 meals apiece (granted we’re trying to be good about eating less. We really wanted to devour all the leftovers at once but adding a salad at home we spread it out well), and honestly you can taste the quality there. It is more than worth it, and literally everyone leaving had containers of leftovers.

I don’t know if they take reservations. They’re only open for dinner and we did have a little wait getting there around 5:30 on a Saturday but it wasn’t bad. I honestly can’t wait to go back.

First time diners based on loads of suggestions from several store owners in town. Ian was a great waiter very attentive and knew the menu well. Ordered the veal scallopini. Never had that dish with cheese on the veal and would ask for no cheese next time as it overpowered the veal and light sauce. Chicken Parmesan Wes very good. Tomatoes on the bruschetta were pale and flavorless. I would skip that until the produce selection improves. Oil and herbs for the bread was amazing. We would go back.
