I dont even know where to begin. There was NOTHING and I mean NOTHING good about this place. We went to have an early dinner, nothing special. Apparently this used to be a Mexican restaurant. Well it closed and this one should also. Lets start at the beginning; Our server nice but didnt know the menu, didnt know what was available, didnt know squat. (I felt he was higher than the helium balloons they had), as every question I asked, he was lost for words and or had to go ask. Well to me, if youre gonna be a server, know your menu, know whats out… let’s go there. We were offered chips and salsa, only for him to come back stating they were out of chips. We tried to order 2 of the 6 appetizers. Nope, out of 4. Couldn’t order a certain dish as chips were obviously out. The $7 apps; 6 apps to choose from- we ordered the 2 that were avail. O ring were okay, jelepeno popps were burnt and dry. We ordered burgers and fries. Only for our server to come back and tell us they were out of fries. What!!???
Please DONT! Do not Waste your time or money here. You will regret it.
The burgers are noting but frozen patties, over seasoned that were cold and gross! On them, if you choose is; shredded lettuce, chopped tomatos, onion(not on the menu). Charged for bacon and cheese, or so we thought. Oh wait..thats what the menu shows, but get your receipt and youre charged for every topping and OVER CHARGED, NO LESS. THATS SNIKEY and Illegal, by the way. The owner(s), make their menu, know the prices they add into their computer and willingly screw you over? That sounds awesome! Does anyone pay attention to their recipes? Does anyone care? How long has this been happening?DISGUSTING!
Take a look at the menu. Where it shows cheese $1 and bacon $2. Well…
Look at my receipt and tell me the owner(s) are honest? $1.50 a piece for lettuce, tomato, onion( again, not on the menu), but charged for it.
$70 for 2 gross burgers, 2 apps, 2 sodas.
Ridiculous! No joke.
And just cause I was curious I asked a few times about the salad/salad bar, with no real answer. Its at the bottom of the menu.
Was told later, its technically only available Sat/Sunday but its NEVER open/stocked. Whats the purpose of having it on the menu if its never available or its ONLY on specific days?
Oh but you can add a salad for $3.
Honestly, There is nothing that would ever bring me back to this place. There is nothing Texas grill about it either.
Grill is a flat electric grill stove- ya know- Fast food flavor. Gross!
If thats “grill”, its sadly mistaken.
I will be contacting the owner(s) cause both of us ended up sick. I was up in the middle of the night and my friend, didnt make it that long.
We almost left before we ordered cause being out of 5 basic items from the get go, on a normal wknd, let alone wknd. We should have left. Saving ourselves from food poisoning.
I have nothing good to share. I wish I did. But this place… stay away!

Absolutely wonderful experience. The new owner/cook/waitress is fabulous with customer service and he made us laugh multiple times; while also serving us free desert, chips and salsa. We were full by the time our main dishes came out and then we were absolutely stunned by how great our food was! Definitely recommend going here and absolutely enjoying yourself for genuine Mex Tex food.

Got some tacos and they were amazing. The owner makes his own ingredients so it tastes fresh, which is extremely rare in this neck of the woods. The owner was nice and made sure I was accommodated. I’m hoping more people come to support this new place so we have another option besides Lucky’s Tavern.

Owner was so nice but honestly there are way better places to eat in the BLA. Food was barely warm, cold appetizer and flavor just did not exist unfortunately. I also wish someone could afford to take over this place and actually change it up inside and outside for once. It’s been the same for forever.

My husband and I stopped in a couple of weeks ago and I am very happy we did. The service was awesome and Joe treated us like old friends. He even let us sample his brisket taco’s, which were so good! I had the nachos and it was massive!! You can try to eat it yourself but you might want to bring some help. My husband had the beef tacos and was very happy with them. We will be going back. I’m kind of craving a taco…

Amazing food, great atmosphere, and fantastic service. As someone that loves street tacos they didn’t disappoint one bit, the chips and salsa are great but even better is their spicy salsas. This isn’t your typical Minnesota tex-mex joint, they are elevating flavors and striving for perfection. The owner wants you to enjoy your meal and ensures you enjoy your experience. 11/10 experience, can’t wait for the next meal!

All I can say is YUM! I needed a quiet place to eat while I had a few precious minutes alone after dropping my kiddo at daycare, and I was NOT disappointed! The chicken quesadilla was HUGE and delicious. The owner/cook (I’m assuming) hand made me a mild salsa and it was PHENOMINAL! He even made a little salad on the side of the plate! All in all, the presentation was very thoughtful, not to mention delicious! The waiter, a younger gentleman, was new and needs some more experience, but he was SO sweet! I called my husband while I had a mouthful of chips and said “I found our new place!” Definitely bringing the whole family next time!

The food here was great. However the service left a lot to be desired. Ordered our food after quite a while of waiting and only one of our two meals came out. We had 2 servers ask us if we need a box, but we never even got one of our meals. Afterwards, when the check came we were gave our card, and the check that came back was run on another patrons card, and upon telling the server they went to go correct it and came back with another check with the incorrect items charged to another seperate patrons card. They did let us go without paying, which seemed reasonable after waiting around for my wife’s food, and the check debacle.
Hopefully in a couple weeks they have staff trained and processes down. Food was good!
