I have been ordering from Hop Bo in the Publix plaza on Curry Ford for years. It has always been very good. But lately, things seem to have changed, for the better. Maybe it’s just me, but they seem to have really stepped up their game! I’ve ordered from many Chinese restaurants around town, particularly those “NY” style places. I’ve had some great food along the way. I love good NY style Chinese and there are many good options. Hop Bo is certainly at the top of the list. The portion to price ratio is perfect. The food is flavorful and super fresh tasting. They’ve upgraded their packaging and to go materials. While I believe it’s still the same family, who is super nice, they have certainly made positive changes to keep up with competition. It’s a must try in the Curry Ford West area!

Now they have that yellow fried rice but they used to have real brown fried rice w egg & bean sprouts. Not anymore I guess. I have ordered Curry chicken w Chinese vegetables for decades but the lady working the counter told me I’ve been ordering wrong the whole time. Everywhere else I order this they seem to understand me just fine and don’t try to correct me. I guess she’s special.

Classic American Chinese food! Hop-Bo has all the basics and more!
Service is fast, food has great flavor and it’s close to where I live. Hop Bo has become a weekly staple at our house. Each time the food is consistently good.
Pictured is the Mongolian beef (which you can pick the spice level, but you need to tell them) with an egg roll and the Kung pow chicken (also spicy). Egg rolls are crispy and our spicy dishes were just the right amount of spice.
Highly recommend as your go-to Chinese food place.

Not all Hop Bo’s in Orlando are the same! Visit the Hop Bo on Curry Ford and Conway for amazing New York Style Chinese.
Egg Rolls are some of the best mouth watering egg rolls you will find in Orlando. My go to is Egg Foo Young and we also ordered Cashew Shrimp.
The Shrimp was plentiful with amazing flavors.
The Egg Foo Young came with 3 Pattie’s enough for lunch the next day with a top notch gravy.
They have had the same cook there for years and they are more budget friendly than another Hop Bo nearby. Kudos to their management!
They don’t offer delivery currently but very quick if you order ahead and worth the drive.

The owner is so rude, she even answers the phone rude. Twice I’ve paid extra to get my food how I want it and twice my food wasn’t correct. She tried to charge extra both times to replace my food. Today she decided to give me yellow fried rice that was supposed to be pork fried rice. I go thier because of convenience but I won’t spend another dime with her and I’ll now take the extra drive to another Chinese restaurant. Don’t spend your hard earned money with this restaurant.

Lunch special well worth the price. Pork fried rice some of the best in town. Shrimp in lobster sauce comes in the styrofoam container, so beware of spillage when driving home. Still very tasty! Update: sesame chicken tasted like it was microwaved, definitely not fresh. Shrimp toast tasted burnt like the oil was old. The chicken wings and the Mongolian beef was the best and fresh. The Egg roll and the prok fried rice was good. The crab raggoon should have more filling. They are a hit or miss spot, but if you’re hungry you will just eat it. I recommend trying each item before leaving the building and returning anything that doesn’t taste right.

The guy on the phone when I placed my order just seemed annoyed someone was calling and the lo mein I got was just noodles and straight up soy sauce.
