My friends and Walked down to Chili Peppers to get some food. Tacos, burritos , bowls. All of it was good. Maybe a little blander than some places but with the hot sauce it was perfect! The portions were large, the staff were so nice and the atmosphere was great. Inside had tables and music and was cozy and outside there is this big covered patio with lots of plants, tables a TV (that wasn’t on) and a play area for kids. It is quite nice and perfect for meeting with friends. It was such a treat to go there.

Fantastic authentic Mexican food! This place has been around 35 years! The outside patio is legit. Shaded patio with many live plants and plenty of seating. They even have a little table and toys for the kids.

The service was friendly and fast! And they were very accommodating. The food is flavorful but not overpowering. They have plenty of sauces and toppings to add.

I definitely recommend this place. Great for dates and family dinners. Not to mention FREE PARKING and PLENTY of it!

First time here. It’s a hidden gem. Beautiful garden patio and great food.
Came back for lunch. The taquitos are homemade and delicious. One of our parties got the taco salad in a fried salad bowl and another person got the carne asada plate. The chips are homemade and the atmosphere is so quiet and peaceful in the garden area.

One of the best Mexican food places in SLO. A little tucked away and underrated, but I love this place. Taco Tuesday is always a bargain for bomb tacos. I love the Huevos Rancheros, but they also have creative flavors in other dishes. Nice to see some originality in a menu. The outdoor patio is like a funky Aztec Zen garden and a great spot to relax and enjoy the food. Get out and check it out!

This place is amazing! Great food and a great menu with plenty of choices. I personally love the chicken mole. I’ve had it in a burrito, on top of nachos, and also in a mula. (Which is just a quesadilla) The staff are amazing and always welcoming.

I used to eat here all the time. I was working in the area and wanted some nachos, so I got on doordash and ordered $14 Nachos, a $14 burrito for dinner later, and a $5 Horchata (size not advertised and no options). They used a small tray with dividers, placed a couple of chips on top of the dividers, then a few scoops of cheap toppings, hardly any meat. Both the most expensive and lowest quantity nachos I’ve ever purchased. It’s better than Taco Bell, but no better than the cheapest nachos in town. Then there was the burrito; it was a gigantic, probably 12″ tortilla, with maybe a scoop of rice and half a scoop of vegetables. 90% of it was tortilla, and I don’t even think it had chicken or pesto in it. (I know, weird combo, but that’s why I used to like Chilly Peppers). The only positive about the horchata was that it had cinnamon sprinkled on it. Other than that, it was an 8oz cup full of ice and one drink of bland rice water. All in all, it felt like I had just been nicked for my change in the alleyway and got a wet tortilla tossid in my face on the way out. Shameful. Either they rob doordash customers, otherwise the cook or owner are trying to run the place into the ground. Definitely don’t try them on Doordash. Maybe they actually feed people in person.

Agree. A hidden gem in SLO. Has that family owned vibe with incredible food and patio. They were out of their famous pozole but they made some fresh, and surprised us at our table. So nice…and yes, the pozole was amazing!

Great food! And the man behind the counter was kind enough to bring us silverware and napkins even though they were out for us to get ourself. This place was delicious and we felt like we were the top priority always.

What a hidden gem in SLO. Great carne asada tacos. FREE parking and plenty of it. And the nicest covered patio area. Even had a special kids corner for the littles.

For this place being here for so long this is my first visit. Ambience is nice and vibrant outside and inside, great outdoor covered patio seating. For being a Taco Tuesday, there was plenty of seating with constant flow of customers and even more to-go orders. With the stready flow of orders, they were very reasonable with how long it took to get my order. Food has good flavor and well plated I’d say. I look forward to trying more from their menu in the future.
