Super cute Indian food restaurant in the beautiful little Grand Island town! Truly delicious food, incredibly well seasoned. We have been to dozens of Indian food restaurants and this one is one of the few that has distinct flavor differences with each entree. Lots of them often taste similar. Not here, the butter chicken, chicken coconut korma, and the chicken bhunda were all very flavorful and well seasoned! The cheese naan and garlic cheese naan were fantastic! And the two apps, the chicken and vegetable pakoda were fantastic! The testing itself was beautiful!

I got delivery, i have been an indian food fan for 25 years and had it regularly in Kansas city and Omaha. Flavors were fresh and spot on. Love the tamarind chutney. I ordered the appetizer and naan assortments and was very pleased with both. I tried the butter chicken and chicken korma today and very happy with both. I just moved back to my hometown and am pleased with Everest being here. If you wanted to try indian food for the first time its just chicken and rice with very tasty sauces. Both were mild. It is mild. Not spicy. I make little naan flatbread wraps and dip in the sauce. I highly recommend this restaurant. Photos are just one plate of food showing appetizers and naan. I have plenty of leftovers. Fantastic job!

Tonight was our second time dinning in and the food was just as amazing and delicious as our first visit. We had never had Indian food before then, and all I can say is it’s full of flavor and would 20/10 recommend!! Service has been fast and friendly both visits. Everest is a must try, and wonderfully diverse addition to the Grand Island food scene!

Pictured from bottom to top, rice that’s served with all main dishes, Chicken Saag, cheese Naan, and Shrimp Masala (on plate & in bowl). I chose spice level mild, while my husband chose medium plus. I believe they have 6 different spice levels to choose from.

We got the fit right at the window which is basically the only brightest place to sit.
The server was kind of more interested and sitting in the bar then serving us.
The food wasn’t horrible nor was it extraordinary.
We got three things at tandoori to of the combo and one chicken. I felt that the spices on it were I don’t know how to explain it. Just kind of topped on it and nothing really extremely flavorful.
We also got the lamb cashew one and I wasn’t entirely impressed. The lamb was tender yet flavor-wise meh.
Since we always go out to eat mid afternoon We always expect every place to be empty and this was the same as any other place we would venture in around two or three. So service shouldn’t have been terrible.
The pita bread was okay as I’ve made my own fresh that is extremely delicious.
We did get the fried Momo balls and they were pretty decent everyone quite liked them and the sauce.
I have had Ethiopian food which isn’t too far off from Indian food.

First visit to Everest and I would definitely return for another meal. I wish I could give this a solid 4.5 stars. Food was very well presented, staff was super nice. Atmosphere is unique old theater, so a lot of old wooden decor of days old. We started with chicken Marsala, coconut milk chicken and a mixed vegetable dish. The two chicken meals were outstanding, the veggie dish was not our favorite but still tasty. Plenty of street parking nearby as well. Wish the owners continued success in this smaller market.

This place has it all! The food is amazing! The service ids very friendly and make sure your water is always topped,

I love getting their c chicken curry and have tried the lamb curry. All is cooked very nicely and the portions are enough for 2 people!

The Nan is baked in house from a brick oven, best taking Nan I’ve had!

Crazy that this Indian restaurant is out in the middle of Nebraska, it’s a 10 all around!

Please ask for mint chutney! You’ll love it with the Nan!

Mango lassi available and would also recommend!

The restaurant setting is beautiful, great for a quick lunch or a special dinner date.

The the people at Everest Indian Kitchen were happy to see and serve us. A manager even came by to check on us and our experience. The building and restaurant were very warm and inviting. Just a little off the beaten path but ready to find. The dishes were ok, maybe tailored to the local pallet but certainly lacking traditional spices and flavors. The Naan was like crispy tortilla but ok. Was happy they had some red chili powder on the table for more heat. Overall we’d come back for the vegetarian options and try a different dish, skipping the thin Naan. How this helps travelers looking for a decent lunch.

I was blown away by the flavor and amount of food that they served. I was worried about spice and my son and I both got Mild and there was nothing to be concerned about. So flavorful and aromatic. We also got the vegetable and lamb samosa. Soo good! The sauce they serve with the lamb samosa is amazing! Definitely a 10/10 experience. We will be back!

Indian food is my absolute favorite so I was very disappointed when I heard great things about this place and saw great reviews and ended up not liking it. We ordered the chicken tikka masala as we normally do at Indian restaurants and it tasted more like our sons butter chicken and was lacking in flavor. My mom ordered the tandoori chicken and that did taste good. I don’t know if we came on an off night or just a misunderstanding with our order, but we weren’t impressed. Normally you can taste the spices and we just didn’t get that here.

The food was absolutely delicious and fresh. However our server did not once check on us and it was not that busy. We had to ask the lady host, to get us water refills. Another gentleman was sat at the table next to ours. Took the server 10 minutes to even great him. The server was in a black shirt and a black cap. He was more concerned about being on his phone, instead of waiting on his guest. We will be back for the food, but we will request to not be seated in his section.
