(Back in November 2021)
It was our first visit.
When we got there, we haven’t eaten anything from morning other than small snack but it was already early evening so we didn’t want to get anything big meal. So we decided to order avocado toast. And it was tasty!
And i ordered hot caramel apple cider for my drink.
I’ve never had any kinda hot apple juice before so i was wonder and at the same time i was sorry but actually i really loved it!
I’ll definitely order again once apple cider season back!

I love this place and its atmosphere!! Amazing choices for food (I always get the açaí bowl), and their coffee and espresso is well made. My new go to spot

The go-to place to grab myself a quick and tasty breakfast and grab my mom a coffee I know she’ll love.
Rise and Grind > Starbucks all day everyday.
Highly recommend.

This is a hidden gem in Fairmount. The staff was amazingly friendly and kind. Had a couple of cups of coffee with a splash of creamer, the flavor was smooth, rich and robust. It’s definitely a great cup of coffee. The atmosphere is very welcoming and inviting. Would highly recommend this diner.

Muffins are just wrapped up not home made. Servers just serving no smiles or excitement. No wows from here just convenience of location.

Unless you’re white or old. I would not recommend to eat here. My boyfriend, cousin & I came to this place to eat. The second we walked through the doors, we didn’t get a welcoming and got seated immediately. The server got us our waters and waited about 10-15 minutes before taking our orders, when it wasn’t busy. Anyways once we placed our orders, I ordered the kids brekki (egg+toast+protein), & s’more’s pancake. I specifically ordered sunny side up eggs to go with the meal. The server came back with SCRAMBLED eggs and told me “the chef didn’t make my s’mores pancake” and tried to offered me a watered solution to put Nutella & sugar on a plain pancake… Can anybody let me know why the chef tried to water down my meal? Or is it because I’m not white. Mind you, this place wasn’t even busy and if you simply made a mistake on the pancakes, it’s common courtesy to fix your mistake not offer a watered down solution. During the whole entire visit, we have not once been checked up on. Not a single check up. “How’s the food?” “How’s everything going”. We got the bill and ignored till we left the place. Not even a food container was offered or anything. Mind you, I am not the only customer they gave this same treatment to. It’s kinda unsettling to hear that they did this same treatment to my other cousins as well. Definitely convinced if your not white, you should not be allowed here. & they make that very clear. Will never receive my business again. Luckily we tipped our server, because I worked in the food industry and I know how it is to be a server. But anyone else would of tipped nothing and should of tipped nothing.

We came here on a Friday morning and were cheerfully greeted by the barista. I didn’t catch her name but she was very kind and helpful. Even though it was busy she was not flustered and our order still came out in good time
The interior has a great vibe: the chairs are comfy and there’s probably a good book for every taste.
We ordered a lavender honey latte less sweet, a matcha bowl with blended berries and almonds, A hot peach green tea, and a guac toast with pico and spinach. All were delicious

Asked for a regular oat milk cappuccino and latte. What we got seemed like hazelnut flavored drip coffee with some not-steamed oat milk added. One cup was so overfilled it spilled onto the table every time we tried to pick it up. Music was a little much. Would not recommend if you are looking for espresso drinks.

My husband and I hosted a get together at Rise and Grind for our small group of friends and family after our daughter’s baptism. The owner was very kind and responsive when planning this ahead of time via email. The day of our get together, we had tables reserved for our party and a tray of delicious assorted baked goods. The staff present that day were incredibly accommodating and kind to our group. Everyone had a great time and kept commenting how delicious the baked goods, coffee drinks, and separately ordered sandwiches were. (My favorite was the egg nog iced latte). We are very appreciative for everyone at Rise and Grind for making this such a memorable experience!
