Fresh! Fresh! Fresh! PHO-nominal Pho Chay (P-1). Great way to enjoy a rainy day lunch. Very clean and casual place to enjoy a comforting bowl of Pho. Highly recommend.

Highly recommend the beef noodle soup! They have an extensive noodle-soup menu in addition so many other Asian foods including banh-mi, rice bowls, boba, and more. Our server was super sweet and overall the place is very clean! Definitely coming back

Orders a Chicken Pho Bowl, Seafood Bowl, Shrimp Summer rolls with an amazing peanut butter sauce, crab Rangoon and was so happy with it all. The flavors were amazing. The service was phenomenal and the recommended sauces for items. Also tried thiwr coconut milk drinks which were really good. Price was right on and affordable. Will be returning for sure.

We decided to try Ying’s while visiting Oberlin. It was amazing! We went between lunch and dinner so there weren’t many others there but the service was highly attentive as if it were bustling. The food was fantastic. We ordered egg rolls and scallion pancakes to start and were really amazed at the taste and quality. Each of our entrees was amazing not just for the great taste but for the portion size. Ying’s definitely believes in giving you your money’s worth. None of that would have mattered if the food wasn’t hot, fresh, and delicious. We’ll put them on the list of places to go every time we’re at Oberlin!

We came in today, on a Saturday, and it was very busy. Apparently it is parents weekend at Oberlin College. The people working and the owner were all very lovely. They seemed very overwhelmed and the system defiantly needs some refining for that level of buisness volume, they could have been short staffed too. No real expo, no dedicated bus person, food came out not all at once and appetizers were well after my wife got her Pho. As someone that has worked in restaurants for 20 years the system is non existent/flawed.
Now the food, I am 100% convinced this restaurant is not Vietnamese owned. The best thing was the dumplings( Cantonese style dumpling). The pho had a great depth from bones, but lacked any star anise or other aromatics I expect when eating pho. It came with bean sprouts a small piece of jalapeño and like 4 basil leafs. More basil and some culantro( not cilantro) would be amazing. Also hoisin and Sriracha should just be there.
Now the Summer rolls really needed some herbs inside and maybe some daikon carrot mix. The sauce was pointless thinned out saltless peanutbutter. Fish sauce sugar chili garlic lime sauce or a peanut hoisin sauce would be so much better.
Bahn Mi, my favorite sandwhich in the world, was a complete disappointment. The bread is a hoggie roll maybe, not the light lacy crunchy roll a Bahn Mi deserves. I know it’s really hard to find in the area, but I know much better options in the cleveland area if baking in house is not an option. NO PATE when the menu says pate is not cool lol. Add Cilantro and please don’t put iceberg lettuce on a Bahn mi. There was very little meat. I rather pay more money and get something worth having. The meat could really use some flair, lemon grass, more garlic something besides soy sauce and sugar. Last note add Maggi at the end it’s traditional and it makes anything taste good.
Once again the people were great and it was probably abnormally busy. I wish this buisness the best and hope they make it in Oberlin OH because food diversity in the area is limited. If I’m ever out that way again I would love to give it a second chance.

the bad reviews i’ve read are just unreasonable and picky. my family and i have no complaints. the food was sooo delicious! the atmosphere was really nice—absolutely spotless and great music! wonderful service—sweet family that clearly cares about their customers. everything tasted amazing and came out in a timely fashion. very fun asian drink selection. their home made hot sauce is a must try! very reasonable prices for such delicious food. overall a homey and cute family owned business that i was happy to support.

Our food was fresh, flavorful and delicious. I had rice noodles with fresh crisp veggies, grilled pork and an egg roll and my daughter had rice, veggies, pork ribs and a fried egg. This is one of our favorite restaurants. Plus the staff was incredibly friendly, and the music was lots of fun.

First time here today, best chicken fried rice I have had… but the 28 minute wait time after the order was placed was ridiculous for lunch. There was 2 cooks ones arm was in a sling to 1.5. And one server/host/busser.. so way understaffed.
The restaurant was clean and well kept but the service times are horrible. If yoy need ro eat and run skip this spot for the time you have 2 hours to waste.
