Stumbled upon this place for a quick bite to eat and was not disappointed! They had a huge menu filled that also included vegetarian options. The ingredients were fresh, the tacos were very tasty and I loved the colourful chips! I tried the cheese quesadilla one blue veggie taco, sooo yummy!

Best blue fish tacos that I ever had. The portions are great and the guacamole was super good. 5 star spots ain’t got nothing on this place.

Amazing tacos and burritos. Absolutely delicious and made with care. The hard shell tacos are perfect. The shells are fresh made and are tasty. The burrito wrap is soft and the ingredients of both are fresh and the meats used are cooked to perfection. The staff is attentive and you can tell they care. This place is easily the best in the San Diego area.

TACO AZUL! A very catchy name and fresh new addition to our choices of the many Taco Shops in East County. Located at an ideal corner, next to 7-11 on the corner of Old Hwy 80 & Lake Jennings Road. A very busy corner with the gas station, as well as other retail & food spaces. It’s lunch time and I was really curious about their 2 for $3 Fish Tacos. We were greeted by a very friendly young lady – Annie, she suggested the Fish Tacos. I had the 2 fish tacos and hubby…carnitas & chicken. The corn tortilla tasted fresh, soft, and garnished with a cabbage slaw & Pico de Gallo. Delicious! The flavors were on point, I used a really flavorful red & green sauce, spiced just right, and of course, I can always ask for more chili’s or extra hot sauce if preferred, but I was fine with these sauces that she offered. The shop was clean, very minimal seating area, the back of the house was organized & clean as well. Calling ahead & ordering is best. I can imagine this little shop will become a regular stop for the locals and us – the neighborhood. Stay consistent, keep the product delectable & fresh, and build your relationship with your regular customers. Suggestions – a weekly Special with a combo drink & chips! – under $5! We will be there, for sure!

Ps. To the Owners:
It’s happening more than once that the phone at your restaurant doesn’t work especially at lunch time. I’ve mentioned this to your staff & they said that the phone runs out of charge/battery power as it was not charged from the night prior. This is business lost & missed due to this issue. Simple solution- post a reminder to make sure the phone is left to “charge” by the closing crew at night. We want to continue to support your delicious food! Let’s work together to make it easily available via a working phone at all times. For your success!!

Thinking about tacos? Must try this spot if you’re around the area… Great Mexican spot with delicious meats, blue corn dishes, and extensive menu. The place is clean, and the service was great. I was greeted when I walked through the door. Went with the 3 street taco combo of asada, pastor, cochinita pibil, rice, and beans on the side. Amazing flavor from all 3 tacos, did not expect all of them to be so flavorful. Asada was on the skimpy side, but the well seasoned meat had immense flavor, which made it worth it. Al pastor was above my expectations when it came to flavor, a good amount of protein, and loved that they add bits of pineapple. Cochinita pibil taco was one of the best I have tried, if not the best. The perfect balance of chipotle in the meat is super delicious. The side of rice and beans tasted authentic… The ratio on portion versus price is borderline, but the flavor is the one that will give this place the thumbs up . Would like to try more of their menu, would highly recommend!

The cochinita pibil burrito was a standout—tender, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. We also sampled several street tacos, fish tacos, and a rolled taco, and everything was delicious. The house-made blue corn tortillas add a unique, wholesome touch that really sets Tacos Azul apart. The service was fast and efficient, too!

Second post: check food. still best pastor around but today had to go back in to get my order done right. Order accuracy seems to be low here. Still would recommend but check your food first. Moving from 4 star to 3. The only reason it’s not a 1 star is the price, to quality to portions you get are great. I’m personally not going back.

First post:Over all their street tacos are the best around. The El Pastor is the best I have had in a while. Service is 1 star for me since there is one cashier that every other times messes my order up even though it’s the SAME order every time. If I see her there, I am now going to leave and spend my money else where. The sad thing is I simply as for them to hold the onions and she can’t hit the button for it.

Edit: And I’m not saying the staff is rude. They are all cool. Just the one keeps messing things up and that is all.

The tacos are cheap and bad, I ordered asada and legua tacos and they got them all moxed up in the same container I asked for the asada ones to be plain and they all had cilantro and onion some had guac some didn’t. Bad presentation bad taste the tacos were cold even though I arrived just in time to pick them up, horrible customer service when I called back to let them know. I used to be a regular customer because it’s the only thing close to home but not anymore. The tacos are not woth their price I’ll rather get some at Kaelins.
Update: I really appreciate the response it just proves what I said. Horrible customer service and the food not worth it at all.
