Outstanding food that can only best be described as Soul Food. I had the Chicken Gumbo with a side of Collard Greens & Cabbage, but they have so much more. I can’t wait till I’m hungry again so I can come back and try some of their specials. By the way, you can either sit outside, or in Kelly’s Pub & Patio next door. There is a door between the two occupancies.

I’ve only ordered pickup so I haven’t experienced the actual restaurant. But I LOVE the food. Corn bread is so good and sweet. And the cabbage is tasty. The chicken fingers look iffy from the pictures but it’s juicy and crispy-not dry at all. The shrimp is seasoned nice. Grits are so good!

A politely love the shrimp and grits. It’s my one dish the reminds me of my time living in Charleston. Fried mushrooms are to do die for and let’s not forget about the collars and cabbage. Simply divine!!

The flavors here are absolutely next-level — bold, comforting, and perfectly seasoned in every bite. I love that it’s a Black-owned spot, and the fact that they stay open late is such a rare gem. Finding genuinely good comfort food that’s both late-night friendly and reasonably priced is nearly impossible, but this place nails it every time.
I hadn’t been in a while since moving, and I’ve missed it more than I realized. From the savory dishes to the welcoming atmosphere, every visit feels like a little celebration of great food done right. It’s the kind of spot that makes you feel at home, even when you’ve been away, and I can’t wait to return. Late-night cravings, comfort-food fixes, or just a treat for the soul — this place hits every mark.

Okay ordered cabbage, Cajun shrimp, collards, Philly wrap. This food is extremely greasy and the flavors are bad!! Very over seasoned even for southern food. This is not good at all you couldn’t touch anything even packaging was greasy. Just BAD!!

I ordered almost $80.00 worth of food and the only thing I ate was 3 shrimps out of the pasta. The pasta was overcooked and I didn’t like the gravy sauce with that pasta. The chicken didn’t seem real very procesed with no taste. Mac and cheese was the worst it looked old and takes very nasty. I could not eat it. The only thing I ate was the collards and cornbread and I kept the salad purchased, I haven’t eaten it yet. I wasted a lot of money to get the experience my coworker spoke so highly of. Here’s my picturesof what I could eat. I’m sorry I’m not a fan. Maybe I should have played it safe with a fish sandwich.
Again the cornbread and collards were definitely the best.

First time and last time at this establishment. Terrible service from a very unhospitable waitress. We ordered two servings of shrimp and grits. Both were lukewarm and flavorless. When we told the waitress, she snatched the plates up, didn’t say a word and just had the kitchen put them in the microwave but still brought them back warm. The order of cinnamon cream cheese waffles didn’t come with any cream cheese because they didn’t have any and we weren’t notified beforehand. Which would have been OK if our waiters had tried to accommodate, but instead she got an attitude when I said I didn’t want them. The mac & cheese was even more without any flavor than the grits.
On a better note while the salmon did not have much flavor it paired pretty well with the mixed vegetables and rice. My fiancé enjoyed the collard greens and cabbage blend as well as the cornbread. Not sure who the guy was that came and cleaned off our table, but our experience with him was better than the food or our server so we tip him instead ♂️
At the end of the day, we didn’t even send any of the food back. We just took it home and doctored it up. It was more about wanting the things that we ordered to be right and our experience to be memorable. Any job where customer service is involved there was a reason why the customer comes first in that phrase. They are the priority, but we did not feel that way, more like an inconvenience. The waitress could’ve been having a bad day, but that’s no excuse.
With some professionalism, maybe close off the kitchen area a little more from where people are enjoying their meals and get back to what the owner was doing in the beginning as far as flavor profile and quality product this place could possibly live up to the name!

My first time and most definitely the last I would eat at this place. I’ve ordered fried chicken not seasoned well but cooked very nice. I had Mac and cheese it was horrible no flavor, collards greens was very salty but the corn bread was very good. My friend ordered fried catfish said it was ok, ordered mac and cheese as well and cajuan cole slaw said it was terrible. We had mozzarella sticks as appetizer most definitely not hot at all taste like out of frozen box. There was only one server she did the best she could but overall service was not the best. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Food poison at its finest so no thanks.
