We loved the food. Unexpectedly good. The fried food we got was fried to perfection, not over or underdone. We tried the falafel sandwiches. Each ingredient was delicious. The flavors came together beautifully. Cannot recommend enough.

Okay, the vibe is that of a bar with slot machines and darts, and most of the food is typical bar fare. BUT. There are a couple Indian food choices on the menu; carryovers from when the owner was trying to fuse Indian food with a tavern atmosphere. That’s what I ate, and let me tell you, the Indian food the owner made for me was well worth the trip. It was phenomenal. The owner was also great to talk to; I came at a weird time and the place was mostly empty, so we had a nice long conversation while I ate at the bar. He owns a full Indian restaurant out in the suburbs, which I fully intend to go to the next time I’m in town.
If the food I ate was any indication, I’m sure the more “traditional” bar fare is delicious, too, but I just need it to be known that this place unexpectedly delighted me!

This is a hidden gem in Rockford. The food was phenomenal. Had the chicken tikka in medium, hot and fire. The sauce had AMAZING depth of flavor you would expect in a high end restaurant. The chicken was lacking all flavor but I’d go back for the vegetarian options that the bartender and chef went over with me. It was such a good homey feeling with good food and strong drinks. I’m already excited to try the rest of the menu. Also had the wings with spicy bbq and cheese curds. Both 10/10 and great portions to split with your crowd.

Definitely recommend my place!!! Very affordable tasty drinks and great affordable delicious food. The bartender Karie always gives great service with a smile. Makes everyone feel welcome. My place is a really laid back great place to be. I’d recommend trying the twin pork chops and Bone in wings! I know I will be back.

This is a great local bar. The female bartender is very friendly and a great host. She comes up with great tasty drink suggestions. The atmosphere is very lively they have karaoke on Fridays and they have dart boards.

Very disappointed. I’m new in town and was looking for a spot to call my own… “My Place” right?!? Seemed like a place I could sit down and get comfortable in but the bartender would not accept my valid state I’D. I’m 38 years old, and her excuse was that the picture looked like an older version of me… I won’t go back, and the bartenders ok with that, but management shouldn’t be. I’m a loyal customer that works hard and enjoys spending money in the places I’m welcome too- I bring myself, friends, and family out to enjoy good food and drinks in places that welcome me. This is not one of those places.
