I ended up being the designated driver for the night because my friend didn’t want to wake his entire neighborhood with his red BMW’s exhaust (it’s a beast, but definitely not “stealth mode” and also burns a lot of oil so it smells burnt at all times). He’d been here a few times and told me it was just “okay,” but honestly, it totally exceeded my expectations.

There was plenty of seating as most people ordered take-out and the restaurant was pretty clean. There wasn’t a lot of people when we first arrived but our order still took a bit long.

We both go a triple patty smash burger with a side of fries. The smash burger patties were perfectly seared and packed with flavor. For the price, it’s one of the best burgers I’ve had in a while. The fries were thin and super crispy but they were a bit heavy on the salt, so keep that in mind if you’re sensitive to it. Their sauce was also pretty good.

The burgers very good, tasty and juicy! Fries are good also with some kind of pepper seasoning, it also came with a side of sauce. The place was clean but also kinda small, somwhat limited seating inside and they have some outside seating. I had a double and it was good and not overly priced like majority of these burger places now, this is a good place.

We walked past this place many times just never had a chance to try it…and it was pretty good!

We ordered double burger with lettuce and tomato and fries. The patty was really juicy, sauce was also delicious and just the right amount.

Chill vibes, totally recommended for a quick bite!

The food here was delicious — the burger was super tasty, though a bit on the smaller side. That said, for the flavor and overall quality, the price felt fair. The fries were excellent — crispy, hot, and seasoned just right.

Plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, which is great depending on the weather. There’s only one restroom, but it was spotless and honestly one of the cleanest I’ve seen in a while. Also, tons of parking, so no stress trying to find a spot.

Dough Burger brings a hip-hop vibe to the classic burger joint, and it’s clear they’re doing things their own way. The menu is straightforward and easy to navigate — no gimmicks, just solid options.

I went with the Double Dough Burger, and it didn’t disappoint. The patty was juicy and flavorful, perfectly complemented by their secret sauce, which had a familiar but satisfying taste. The fries were crispy and golden, exactly how I like them — the kind you can snack on even after you’ve finished your burger.

The location couldn’t be better — right across from the light rail station and just a short walk from the local casino. It’s convenient and feels like a natural hangout spot for locals and visitors alike.

While the overall experience was great, there’s a small sense that something’s missing — maybe a signature twist or a standout element to set it apart completely. Still, the vibe, the flavor, and the potential are all there. I wouldn’t be surprised to see another Dough Burger location pop up in the near future.

I commute from Hayward to Santa Cruz and I have stopped at this spot now for the 3rd time because of the IG hype. The first two experiences my food was cold but it was good. The staff that takes your order and calls your number have all been rude each time. I was put off by them completely both times. They’re younger folks, mainly dudes who only care about trying to Mack to the younger girls waiting on their food. This last time did it for me. Food cold, long wait, rude staff. Owner or manager was there very polite and nice to everyone, but as soon as he went to the back the young dudes at the counter were rude to not only myself but other customers. The wait was like 25 minutes and zero “sorry about the waits” or “thanks for waiting.” Not even a smile or look my way… and I was the only one with my food ready at the counter. Then they forgot my root beer float and when I came back to get it the taller dude of the 3 rolled his eyes. Regulate your boys boss or hire folks that care about your business thriving and your customers coming back. 3 strikes I’m out. 🙁

Good halal smashed burger. They even have halal bacon which is a beef bacon. Seem like is just opened this year. It is nice inside where you can see they prep the food behind glass windows. The menu is considered simple, 3 choices of burger which the different is number of beef patty. You can also add bacon, lettuce, tomato, banana chili. By default it comes with cheese. You can also 3 types of fries. One has beef patty. It is like animal fries from on of the famous burger join. For drink , it has the fountain drink and root beer with float.
The burger is yummy. It is interesting about the restroom. It is clean and has air-conditioned. It is just may be because of no much air circulation, we can smell the body odor. Also they need to check the restroom regularly as when I use it, the soap dispenser and paper tower dispenser were not working.

They used to be a food truck and finally they got themselves their own place. It’s quite packed and hot here since there’s no AC. It just recently opened and it’s no surprise that they don’t have much right now. There’s not much seatings here probably because I arrived during peak hours.

Anyways, I am disappointed with the food here. The only thing good about it is the milkshake. The burger tastes bland. the fries are quite thin and probably better than the burger. Perhaps I could have gotten the double smash patty since it’s way smaller than the bun.

They also do accept cash but keep in mind that you won’t be able to get the exact change because they don’t have much coins. If that’s no issue to you, then you can use cash. Otherwise, stick to non-cash payments.

Best halal smash burger in the bay area. Meat is premium as you don’t smell the fat. Keep up the good work and keep making the real dough.

TLDR: cheap prices but not really a smash burger, it’s more like a slider.

I came in and ordered a regular smash burger. It took about 15-20 mins for it but the reprice is sensational. The burger came out and it looked ok initially but the patty was not crispy at all though, it was just a thin cooked patty. The sauce didn’t have much flavor and the bun was slightly colder than room temp, not even warm.
