It’s hard to explain but it wasn’t heavy on the tummy. The dough was perfect, marinara sauce was fresh, and the cheese pull was chef’s kiss. Speaking of the chef…owner came out to greet us. He seemed friendly and polite. You could tell from his aura that he knows what he’s doing and he’s not here to play with your food. He knows his craft very well. Mary, the server, was just as nice! She was sweet natured and served us wonderfully.
I’m surprised there aren’t much reviews on here yet.
Come give this place a try and taste the amazing pizza yourself!
And oh! Get the garlic bread while you’re there! The taste was as good as the smell!
10/10 recommend!
The fresh basil on top made it even better and gave it that authentic Italian touch. Everything tasted simple, fresh, and high quality — just the way great pizza should be.
I begrudgingly went in with friends who wanted to try out the new place, fearing that it may be the same owners. It wasn’t. The pizza was excellent and, surprisingly better than the original FCP. This is a great start. Seriously, I try every pizza place in and around Springfield, and you nailed it. This is the best so far. Bravo for keeping the quality outstanding. I will be back for sure!
There are just a few recommendations I’d make. First, the place was cold inside. That will turn off customers and there is no need for that. They need more awareness of their own atmosphere for customer retention. Everyone in the place kept their jackets on. That’s not good. Second, get rid of the $0.10 stainless utensils. Spend a little bit of money there so it’s not an annoyance. Third, add more suggested pizzas to the menu, not for me but for others. The menu looks too limited, even though it’s not. It’s a perception thing. It’s a terrible looking menu by design. Spend a few bucks on better menu design.
It was nice to see the place full at lunchtime on a Thursday, but you’re going to have to market rather heavily while street construction is underway. I’d like to see you stick around so these suggestions are how you can improve. Restaurants go out of business over the smallest details that add up. Impressions and top of the mind memory of a great experience are everything. Snag some of the original FCP wait staff who made the place fun and you’d have a real winner.
