I visited this shop and was impressed by the stylish layout. I met the owner and we talked for a few minutes before my order was ready. I had an 8oz cup of Puerto Rican coffee and a sourdough chocolate chip cookie. I was told that the variety was different on a daily basis and I can hardly wait to taste more treats Yes, it was a little expensive, but it was so delicious and I’m happy that the proceeds go to helping others – humans, dogs & horses. The cookie was so good, I got a second one for the road! I’ll definitely be back for more from this delightful coffee shop!

I love that this place supports veterans! Really great, rich (like espresso) organic coffee and the best desserts. Cake pops and milk for kids I also saw that they have a lunch menu with organic meat and cheese sandwich stacks. Pricing is a little high but it’s definitely worth it.

Fantastic Puerto Rican coffee and a variety of unique pastries and bake goods. All made by different people coming together as community to help raise funds for such important causes, dogs, horses AND Veterans.

There are some staples made by the founders and the family that are such a treat. Butter Lemon, Almond and Coconut Cakes. The best Key Lime Pie, Brownie Bombs, “tembleque”, “quesitos” (with Guava!), Crinkle Cookies that melt in your mouth, “Flancocho” (Impossible Cake) and so many more.

Fresh baked sourdough bread made in collaboration with local bakers, one of them a Veteran herself! Dutch oven fresh baked bread is also available.

Powerful wifi connection and a great atmosphere for those looking for a spot to work.

AND pictures of the cutie dogs that are available for adoption. They have adoptions for Veterans / First Responders but also for civilians.

There’s different items being baked daily, so it’s great to come by and see what new things to try!

I recently volunteered at The Commissary in Graham, NC, and it was an amazing experience. Full disclosure: one of the owners is my cousin, and her partner is just as great! They have created a warm and inviting bakery. I had a great time making quesitos and helping prep for other baked goods. Everything is made from scratch with quality ingredients, and the treats I bought to take home were absolutely delicious. And yes, you can grab delicious coffee as well. What’s sweeter than enjoying a tasty treat? Knowing that your money goes to a great cause supporting Veterans, First Responders, and rescuing dogs. Stop by and check it out – you won’t be disappointed!

A wonderful place! When I tell you the coffee is strong, it’s STRONG. One cup in the morning will have me up and awake all day. Once a week or so, they make a batch of freshly baked sourdough loaves that have been delicious every time I order them. The atmosphere is welcoming, staff is friendly, and every purchase goes toward helping Veterans? I love it and you will too. Go and see for yourself!

A Hidden Gem!

I’m hesitant to write this review, for fear the word will get out and I won’t be able to get a table in the future. LOL. Nevertheless, my wife came home raving about a new coffee shop she stumbled upon, so I had to give it a try. So glad I did!

The exterior and interior are very clean, virtually spotless. They don’t serve “basic” coffee per se, but instead concoct Puerto Rican style coffee drinks only. I’m more of a coffee traditionalist, but figured what the heck and gave their Cortado a try …….AMAZING!!! The accompanying sourdough cinnamon roll is one of the best I’ve tasted anywhere.

In addition, they have fast, reliable Wi-Fi if you need to sit down and check emails for awhile. The owner was very hospitable and eager to answer any questions I had. Since they don’t serve basic decaf, I will have to fight the urge to visit everyday. It will definitely be a weekly treat though.

To top everything off, they support veterans. What more could you ask for?
