I don’t know whats going on with them, but they took my order and money online. I got 1 email after I ordered then no updates. They didn’t answer the phone, texts or emails. Then over an hour and a half later my money was refunded. But now its too late to order from somewhere else. Absolutely insane.

Puerto Rican food was surprisingly good. Play some pool/darts while you wait for your order to come out. If your bill is $30 and over they automatically add 15% for tip.

We heard some good things about this establishment and wanted to try it out. The environment was nice, they had two separate dining areas to eat. There is a beautiful bar with big tvs plastered on the wall. There are pool tables and clean bathrooms. The service wasn’t the best, we were charged fees that weren’t explained to us. Also, the food doesn’t match the price on the menu. The meat pie filling had a weird smell and the pastry had a moldy taste. When we expressed it to the waitress she stated that’s how they make it. The tostada was delicious but the rest of the food wasn’t impressive, won’t return back ever!

So this is my second time ordering with them. First time around great experience, food delish & they even called me when my food was ready. However However today the food took an hour to be prepared ! My husband was waiting in front for almost 30 minutes without anyone asking if they could help him etc. I had to call to find out what was going on with the food even though he was there in person. Last time I ordered the same meal as today, it came with fries. Today it did not and they forgot my side order of avocado. However I was not upset because i got potato salad and habichuelas on the side, so i figured it was either because of the wait or because they had no fries idk. That feeling quickly left my body when I took a bite of the beans and they tasted like straight liquor. Being 7 months pregnant, I know what i was tasting you could even smell it. To make sure i wasn’t imaging things had two people in my household try it and they said the same. Normally i would not care but being pregnant it was upsetting. Has me really wondering about the wait the extra food , like what was really
going on in the back today. Maybe it was just a today thing. Overall i did have a great first experience but today was def the complete opposite!

I found this place is open late night. It was after 11pm and their kitchen was still open. Thanks because I was hungry after just getting off work. I tried their steak tacos, they serve them with (optional) Puerto Rican rice, red beans and potato salad. All were pretty good especially the PR rice. I’d come back and try more dishes.

The jibarito was on point. Finally I don’t have to drive to the north of Chicago for some good Puerto Rican food! More of a place for adults so carry out for the family. They have Puerto Rican and Mexican food. Need to try out the rest of the menu.

The restaurant is open at 1 A.M, and I was so hungry after a long day. Trendsetters Bar & Grill was my saving grace! The warm, cozy ambiance instantly made me feel comfortable. I ordered their signature burger, and it exceeded my expectations—juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The staff was friendly and attentive, even at such a late hour. Although the fries were a bit too salty for my taste, the overall experience was fantastic. I left satisfied and happy, and I’ll definitely return. Highly recommend for late-night cravings!
