We love the original Toast, in Davidson, NC and have grown to like the serving strategy used here (where every server is your server), but it doesn’t always work well at this location (where every server makes sure to ignore you) but I’ve got to dock only one star because the food here is just fantastic. First, the apple butter and corn bread is such a great start. My usual has become the lobster scramble, with generous chunks of fresh lobster (shipped live to the restaurant). Check the specials, though, for the crab cakes Benedict! Truly fantastic!

I stopped in as I was in a hotel nearby and didn’t want hotel breakfast. I know this is a chain but I had never eaten at any before, and not sure I would again. The staff was friendly and attentive, however I was the only person there, so if they weren’t that would have been odd. The food was ok, slightly above average. My biggest complaint is the price. I had the stuffed French Toast, and a cup of coffee, with a tip, the bill came to just under 20$.

The service and presentation of the food on the plate was nice. But the experience lacked in restaurant cleanliness and food taste. As good as the food looked on the plate it tasted sub-par. There were several items we had to sent back because they were inedible.

We love going to the Famous Toastry. This location is a little confusing when you go in, because the back side of the restaurant is where you check in and wait to be seated, and also pay, which is opposite to the main front entrance of the restaurant. Theres plenty of parking, and service is good. Weekends are the best time to go, because they have complimentary cornbread with apple butter. The cornbread is very good, and sweet. I always go with breakfast in the combo, which I get with a flapjack. We haven’t had any bad experiences here. Sundays after church are very busy, so be prepared to wait.

Food was delicious. Service could have been a little better (my water wasn’t refilled). But I will definitely be back. The menu was impressing and my family’s meals were also delicious. I got the French toast combo with scrambled eggs and sausage. All of it was very good. The interior is very clean and inviting, and the staff are nice. Good location, too!

Seating is comfortable and there’s a lot of it. Decor is terrible, there’s a lot of echo and noise in the room and it’s impossible to hold a conversation. Menu is good with a lot of variety.
Service was very slow. Coffee was never refilled and our food arrived cold after a long wait. Food was okay but not as good as what we expected for the price.
Just an unpleasant morning with no reason to go back.

The food was great, the service ATROCIOUS. My friend and I were seated on the patio with maybe 6 other diners. Our server visited our table twice the entire time we were there. I ordered a salad and she had a sandwich. Other people that came in after us were served before us and she frequently stopped by their tables to top off their drinks and ask them if everything was okay. We were by the wayside and I actually had to resort to walking INSIDE to request a coffee refill. After our food arrived 45 minutes later, it was delicious and totally met expectations. However, when we were finished it took another half an hour for her to bring the check, but you know, only after we asked her for it of course. I AM NOT a high maintenance person, I understand servers get busy but it was like we had to keep reminding her we existed. It was insulting.
