Boys had meatballs and stuffed bread. I had the stuffed bread and a side of corn. Everyone was happy with their plates, and the stuffed bread was absolutely delicious. The bread was tender and the stuffing was rich with meat and slices of sausage. Divine. Well worth getting off the interstate for.

This is a nice lil place to pop inside or stay outside and sit at one of there tables with umbrella. Or if you perfer to go through the drive thru or they offer Door Dash for delivery. Really good food, great on the prices and you get a good amount of food. The Customer serivce is awesome, I got a lil lunch to go bag with stuff in it. So cute. I tried the Stuffed breads and yes there seasoned perfect, the bread is a melt in your mouth bread. Over all it’s worth your time and money to stop by and check it out. Atmosphere inside is quite, unless it’s lunch time. Your wait is not long 15 min during lunch rush , which is awesome if you ask me. I will definitely be back to try more foods.

I love patronizing mom and pop plate lunch places. Small house style location, I had the meatball fricassee and the stuffed bread. When I think of Creole Lunch I expect bold flavors. Unfortunately I was a little disappointed. As I ate the heat did build a little but as for flavor it was sort. I felt like I was eating at a retirement home cafeteria when no one can have salt. Apparently they aren’t fans of garlic either. Just bland. I was hoping to find a hidden gem but I don’t think this was my style. It wasn’t bad it just wasn’t good enough to return. Also, what kind of Creole restaurant has unsweetened tea but no southern sweet?

We had a great experience here. Stopped to grab lunch at a local family owned restaurant. We were greeted with southern hospitality and good food. The stuffed bread is a must.
If you want to experience local, come here!

This is Lafayette, LA gem. I stopped to eat lunch here upon flying into LFT. I had read many great reviews about the Creole Lunch House. It was wonderful. I loved the stuffed bread with 1 or 2 sides. This is great, fresh soul food. They offer a wide variety of sides like greens, rice, beans, cornbread, etc…The atmosphere is homey and simple which I like. I enjoyed my lunch so much I got a second stuffed bread and went back for lunch the next day. The prices are so reasonable and you know it’s good when the locals dine there. The staff there are very welcoming. I can’t wait to return when I am in Lafayette, LA again.

Amazing food and customer service. One of my favorite places to get a great tasting soul food plate lunch. Always leave with a full stomach and a smile. Red gravy meatloaf and a Creole Stuffed Bread is pictured. Can’t beat that!

I came in around lunchtime on a Friday afternoon because I wanted to try the stuffed bread the stuffed bread was okay and not seasoned enough. I also tried the red beans it was really dry and unseasoned with no flavor and not enough juice from the red beans on my plate. My fiancé had the pork chop it was really greasy, the mustard greens was unseasoned and bland, and he didn’t care for the red beans either. We had to wait 10 minutes for the rice and while waiting they tended to other guests in the drive thru which the wait was another additional 10 minutes and they also tended to other customers in line that came after us so I got frustrated and tired of waiting so long that I stepped outside until our food was ready. We will not ever return back sorry. ☹️
