CAMPI | Delray Beach Italian Restaurant | The Ray Hotel

Nestled in the heart of Delray Beach at The Ray, CAMPI is an Italian dining experience reminiscent of NYC’s 40-year-old Campagnola.

Campi is one of my favorite restaurants in Delray. The atmosphere is beautiful and the space feels elegant but still relaxed. The pasta tastes homemade and the ingredients are clearly high quality. The mussels were excellent and the steak was cooked perfectly.

The service is also consistently great. The staff is friendly, attentive, and the whole team works really hard to make sure guests have a good experience.

Overall it’s a great spot for dinner in Delray Beach if you’re looking for authentic Italian food and a nice atmosphere. Definitely recommend.

Off the Avenue restaurant located on first floor of the Ray Hotel. Really well decorated, comfortable chairs and cute Chandelier. They have an open kitchen going to the bathroom, makes everything look yummy.

However, food wasn’t the main character fo me.
Starting from the Yellowtail Crudo, it was good but it is lacking a sauce or something to make it WOW in your mouth. 6/10
Special Crab Pasta (pardon i don’t recall the name of the specifics) was flavorful, it had to be for the price and size. The sauce did have a smokey pepper flavor, perfect with the crab. 8/10
NY Strip was cooked to perfection, bravo. However, could have been added a little bit of more salt, asked some for the table. Demiglace was good to dip it in. 8/10
Shrimp dinner was garlicky, love it. Perfectly combined with the mash. Something i don’t understand and have seen it in several restaurants, why don’t you remove the skin from the very end of the tail? There’s still meat in it, after cooked it’s a little difficult to take it off. 7/10
Dessert was perfect balance of sweet. But could’ve gone with the Tiramisu espresso Martini.

Unfortunately i don’t recall the servers name, but he was really professional and always came by at the perfect moment. Bussers were on point on refilling waters and taking care of.

I will give it a second try, but at the moment, doesnt even reach top 10 of my favorite italians.

If it weren’t for the server Andrea, we probably would have gone the whole night without eating or drinking. After my wife and I sat for over 25 minutes without anyone coming to take our order, she noticed the situation and stepped in. We really appreciated her attentiveness. The food was average, and the environment was nice, but the service delay affected the overall experience. Andrea was not our assigned server, but she wanted to make sure we could place our order.

We just dined at Campi Italian, and I have to say it was absolutely fantastic. The restaurant was completely packed and bustling, yet the service never missed a beat. From the pasta to the steak to the carefully crafted cocktails, everything was spectacular. Max, Burak, and Jemma have truly taken this restaurant to the next level with the way they care for and serve each guest.

I visited Campi Italian Restaurant at The Ray Hotel in Delray Beach (Pineapple Grove, 2nd Ave) on January 14, 2026. I’ve been here about eight times now. Sometimes with others at a table, but more often I sit alone at the bar.

The restaurant is on the hotel’s first floor and has a big-city feel. It has high ceilings, spacious layout, stylish décor, and an open kitchen that adds to the hip upscale atmosphere. It can get loud, but only because it’s popular and consistently busy. However, you can still carry on a conversation. They also offer outdoor seating, which is especially nice on cooler evenings. My only small critique is that I wish the bar were a bit longer.

A nice bonus of sitting at the bar is that there are two flat-screen TVs, and they usually have whatever sporting event is on at the time. That said, this is absolutely not a sports bar—it maintains a refined, upscale atmosphere throughout.

Another thing that truly sets Campi apart is the bar staff. Stephanie, Gavin, and Silvio are outstanding. They don’t just serve drinks. They engage with guests, are warm and attentive, and make you feel genuinely welcome. They check in consistently without being intrusive. Anyone who dines out frequently knows that great staff can elevate a restaurant, and these three are a major asset to Campi. Hopefully, management realizes that this three staff members are significant assets to the restaurant’s continued success.

In my opinion, Campi has the best Chicken Parmesan in all of Palm Beach County. The portion is very generous, perfectly covered in deep red( slightly sweet) San Marzano tomato sauce, and topped with fresh melted mozzarella. I usually pair it with a couple glasses of Super Tuscan wine, which makes the meal even better. Their chicken parmesan the kind of dish that becomes a craving and pulls you back to the restaurant.

My girlfriend always orders the short rib agnolotti and raves about it every time. The pasta is made in-house, and you can absolutely taste the difference. Perfectly cooked, tender, and properly textured. The portion size is exactly what pasta should be: satisfying without being excessive.

I usually add a side of broccolini with my Chicken Parmesan. Always tastes fresh, crisp, and delicious.

Between the food and the service, the experience is genuinely comforting . The staff makes you feel like part of the Cheers bar crowd. Comfortable, recognized, and taken care of. Honestly, I almost hesitate to recommend Campi because I don’t want everyone discovering my go-to bar seat. This place rocks!

We celebrated our 15-year wedding anniversary at Campi, and it was absolutely unforgettable—thanks to Chef Greg Rubin. From start to finish, every dish was perfection. The flavors were rich, creative, and beautifully presented, with so much attention to detail. You can truly taste the passion he puts into his cooking. It felt like every course told a story, and each one was more delicious than the last. Chef Ruben helped make our special night even more memorable, and we’re already looking forward to coming back!

The food at this Italian eatery inside of The Ray hotel in downtown Delray Beach is a new age take on classic Italian dishes. The calamari and fried shrimp appetizer was so delicate and on point it melted in my mouth. The Caeser salad is a different take with some sun dried marinated tomatoes on top that are sweet and tangy. Excellent for a different spin. The lasagna wasn’t grandmas style it was also a different variation. Rolled up pieces of pasta with meat inside surrounded by ricotta and marinara. This dish was even better the next day as leftovers. Wow. The flavors are clean and tasty . Highly recommend this restaurant. A bit pricey but worth it for special occasions. Service wasn’t anything memorable but solid.

One of the best finds I’ve had recently! Was just walking by and stopped in. Immediately had a table for 2 outside. The service was a bit slow at first but it was worth the wait. We had a very generous bread basket brought over while we ordered our drinks and food. All of which were amazing. The best burrata I’ve had in my life. The tomatoes and glaze were the perfect accompaniment. Will be returning again and again!

We celebrated my birthday at Campi and it absolutely exceeded all expectations. I usually get nervous trying new restaurants especially during season because great service can be hard to come by, but from start to finish this experience was exceptional!!

Luca was an OUTSTANDING server and truly made the night unforgettable. He was kind, attentive, knowledgeable, and had the best recommendations. He went above and beyond to make me feel special on my birthday, and his genuine hospitality really stood out. We had such a great time. We sat outside on their beautiful patio area.

The food was phenomenal, the atmosphere was beautiful, and the service was top notch. I also loved that Campi has some real Italians working there it truly adds to the authenticity and makes the entire experience feel that much more special and genuine.

If you’re dining here, I highly recommend requesting Luca. We will absolutely be back!
