Birria Taco: Pretty decent along with the consome. I asked for hot and I’m pretty sure it was extra mild. Either way the taco was okay. Not very much flavor with the beef. It tasted like beef out of a slow cooker after work but without flavor. Stick it in a taco with cheese and that’s it. When ordering they’re displaying 3 tacos but the order itself is only one taco.
My Review: 3/5
Chicharron Taco: Displays one taco and I got one taco. No issues there. They essentially smothered it with all kinds of ingredients as shown in the images I’ve attached. This again was not great but also not bad.
My Review: 2/5
Chicken Quesadilla: I would have to say this had the most flavor. The only downside is that it was soggy and would fall apart as soon as you pick it up. I assume it was soggy from the tomatoes? Not sure, but half of each quesadilla was wet or soggy. The chicken had good flavor and overall pretty good.
My Review: 4/5
I did get a tiramusu and I’m not going to provide a review because its a dessert and all desserts are pretty good. I probably won’t be coming back because it didn’t stand out to me enough for me to come back. To each their own I suppose. I hope the establishment does well.
The birria tacos were flavorful WITH the dip. Dry and bland otherwise.
The plantains were cooked well and slightly sweet, great side!
The yucca fries were disappointing! They left the tough middle part, so it wasn’t for good eats.
Pupusas were super dry with zero cheese.
Churros were tasty with a custard filling.
The tres leches was good too.
Horchata was not bad!
Would I go back? Probably not. Not because it was terrible by any means, but it was just nothing extraordinary. Seemed like ordering was a hit or miss on random items.
The pupusas are incredible. Especially the bean and cheese, but they do make some with chicken or pork.
They also have very good Birria tacos many burritos and delicious flan, alongside other desserts.
Enough seating for five or six families.
Seems to do very well with takeout too. Their takeout app is very easy to use.
I forgot to ask what country the owners are from but the food feels more like Salvadoran rather than Mexican but in a good way. It’s nice to get something a bit different compared to other local taquerias so I recommend checking them out.
Wife and I were able to sample a large portion of their menu but they didn’t have carnitas or pork as they’re still in the early stages of opening.
Must tries would be the Revuelta Pupusas, Chicharron, fish tacos and the beef tongue.
We also tried chicken and steak tostadas, ceviche, birria, Horchata and Maranon drinks.
The Maranon is the sleeper hit and I liked it much better than the Horchata.
Very nice service, meats are cooked fresh instead of a steam table and their hot sauce is homemade. My only regret was that I couldn’t eat more and need to come back instead.
The pupusas will never taste like my mom’s but they are delicious. I recommend the zucchini and loroco options for those that are vegetarian. Also the fried plantain and fried yuca with pico de gallo. My kids had steak quesadillas and they loved them! They have some specialty plates with rice and beans too. For those that eat meat, I can’t say enough. Everything from flavorful steak, chicken, beef tongue and chicharrón
Their desserts are all delicious (see picture) yes we got all 4 of them for experimental purposes of course. No regrets! Flan was my top choice followed by the tiramisu but seriously all 4 were great.
Free 2 hour street parking. They just opened so they stay busy! Makes sense because this type of flavor hasn’t hit Arlington until now.
Thank me later, go pay them a visit.
